ECB considerations on issuing a €30 banknote
Dear Mr Higgins,
Thank you for your question whether the ECB is considering issuing a €30 banknote, which was communicated to me through a letter of 8 October 2009 by Ms Bowles, Chairperson of ECON.
In November 1994, the Council of the European Monetary Institute (EMI), the ECB’s predecessor, decided on a sequence of 1:2:5 for the seven euro banknote denominations: €10 and €100; €20 and €200; and €5, €50 and €500. This sequence is in line with the common denominational split of most of the world’s currencies and also corresponds to the sequence of the euro coins (1 cent, 10 cent and €1; 2 cent, 20 cent and €2; 5 cent and 50 cent), as agreed by the EU’s Economic and Financial Council (Ecofin).
I should like to add that some countries use or have used a sequence of 1:2.5:5. This was the case in the Netherlands in the pre-euro days of the guilder. However, to our knowledge, no country uses 3:30:300, etc. as a denominational sequence.
The ECB’s approach towards the denominational split of the euro banknotes has not changed. The ECB has thus not considered issuing a €30 banknote.

this is something i found when i was looking on the ecb page

 started thinking , has a note of 30 ( whatsoever ) denomination ever been isued on earth

The Cook Islands dollar has a 3 dollar banknote (and coins in 1, 2 and 5 dollars) and apperently there once was a three US-dollar coin and some more unusual denominations, see here.

A short search on Wikipedia also gives the Portuguese Timorese escudo (1959-1976):
The first coins issued, dated 1958, were in denominations of 10, 30 and 60 centavos, 1, 3 and 6 escudos. The unusual denominations (see also the banknotes, below) may have been due to the exchange rate from the previous currency.
The first banknotes, dated 1959, were in denominations of 30, 60, 100 and 500 escudos.
and the Saint Pierre and Miquelon franc (pre-1960?):
Between 1890 and 1895, the Banque des Isles Saint-Pierre et Miquelon issued 27 and 54 francs notes. These unusual denominations were equivalent to 5 and 10 Canadian dollars.
My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.

Well:
Although the sqrt(-1) bill's release has been the subject of a complex debate, for now it’s just imaginary.
And more on topic, I now remember that there is a 1.95583 lev coin (with the lev pegged to the euro, it's worth 1 euro).

yes, there are. The EU or the ECB has made a report some day about how many people in each country think that there are euro notes with denominations of 250€ or 1000€
and the number of people who believe in 250€ notes is the highest in the Netherlands

and now, 8 years after the intro of the euro notes, some people might still say, they have seen "250" notes some years ago, and they are right! And they have in mind that there is a lighthouse on them, so that 250€ note does look familiar to them and they take it for real.
