Mine is a detail from the last Finnish 1000 mark banknote. There are seagulls flying on seawater in front of the fortress Suomenlinna, nowadays an outdoor museum, recreational and residential area, which is situated on a few islands in front of Helsinki. Althoug not evident in the small picture, the first bird is carrying a fish in its beak, trying to escape from the greedy other birds. I had no special reason for choosing this picture, except that it's a nice pic, it's a reminder of our former currency, I like and collect banknotes, and it's my favourite colour, blue.

I liked the last series, and this note the most (along with 100 and 50 mark notes). This was the most valuable one (168 €) and therefore rare in everyday circulation. Fortunately I saved all of them in my collection.

My current avantar represents the area of the historical area of Brabant. It's now divided into The Netherlands and Belgium (Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia).
It's kind of a statement against the political problems in Belgium.
