It's not our current mandate AND, even more important, we haven't got the tool for conducting the changes required.

Ciao Bruno, cleaning girls are making a very good job, but like in real life "outlaws" improve always his work I think we have to do the same in EBT: fake locations start to be a irritating problem, also rules must be improved and better written so to avoid different interpretation, example: my wife goes to Helsinky bring me back some notes and rules says insert location where you receive notes..so Bologna (Italy). This for me is not correct because I know that my wife received this note in Helsinky and for me right location is Helsinky...with this double interpretation now we have a lot of hits with a lot of km.

I'd say that the DB WG already has a mandate to keep the database clean.

I'm a fan of delegating as much of the work and decisions to the appropriate working groups as possible. There are still some technical limitations for some things, but we're (slowly) moving towards that goal. The working groups consists of experts in their problem domain, like, say, erroneus entries in the note database. Thus the DB WG (and its leader, ErGo), should be the primary contact for official requests, not the BoD. The DB WG can then formulate the new policy if needed. If the DB WG wants to have a blessing for their new policy, they can submit the policy to the BoD for approval/disapproval.

As for the tools.. Yes, you may have a point there, even though the support tools can be used for fixing a subset of these problems. There isn't a "change locations to X" function in the ACT at the moment.

I hope that you can remove those technical limitations for moving quickly towards the aim and reach it as soon as possible

I'd like a carpet-cleaning, brushes for the toilets and some detergents for the kitchen...

I disagree with you about fake locations, I allways insert banknotes at the very location they get in my own hands and there is no fake location here.
My wife and family members or other usual suppliers are not intersted in tracking notes , they are not EBTers so I do not see any good enough reasons to insert notes where they got them wether I know or not where they were obtained , and I imagine it would sometimes be difficult to know the exact location the notes were obtained so to avoid any confusion I stick to "my own hands" rule and no exeption , also I would not want dots of places I have not personnaly been to on my map .
If you are happy with your way this is fine with me , but please do not force others to go your way if they don't want to , your way is not the written rule but your interpretation and they are not "outlaws" for that matter , they just think differently .

seeing how discussions are going about locations, I agree that the rule about location should be more restrictive ............ and translated correctly into Italian (that's mandatory !!!) to avoid people like LITO or me or other correct users to be badly considered when they apply the basic rule (not the tolerance, but the basic rule!!!) by people who are registering notes all over the world from their home chair simply saying that "somebody" got it there !!!

An-148 I rererere..explain what for me is possible to do now with the rules but not right. I am not speaking about you, I am speaking in general and many people do it: You start with friends for Kurilistan (ipotetic exotic nation) from Germany, just arrived you ask notes to your friend and insert this notes from Kurilistan making very exotic hits, this for me is not a right mode to insert notes. Come back to you it's like when your wife bring you notes in Bosnia or everywhere starting from Belgium, for me right location remain Belgium. If BOD will confirm that I am not right ok I will stop to argument
