While holidaying in the southern part of the Veneto region and the Trieste province, in Italy, last week with three friends of mine, I paid a round of coffees on 12th February. Some one or two days later one of them paid me €1.50 for for her coffee. The coins she gave me were 1 italian €1 of 2008 and the 50c coin was of 2011 of the Vatican City. She told me that that coin was given to her as change somewhere from those two areas.

Last January i was in Trieste and a coffee vending machine gave me 50c from Vatican 2011 as change
so this region must be full of Vatican 50c
