Why not adding this other rule: only avatars abiding to the phpBB precepts (max. 80 x 80 pixels, 6 Kb) will qualify (rule of thumb, or draconian rule, according to the points of view). Note: even my own not that big avatar would be ruled out, with its 115 x 115 pixels...

I'd say rule of Pixelity. And I agree. Avatars shouldn't be too big.

Another reason. This contest has to be the contest with the most and vaguest rules on the web. So we need more rules to complicate the other rules .

I'd like to nominate the avatar of the new Irish user, Bebbo. The avatar is so happy it makes even the worst day a perfect one :)

This is an extraordinary opportunity and since the 25th is over, there are no more nominations possible. You can nominate in December again. Now you can only decide between two possible extraordinary candidates.

B3n|ght3d has been voted by PogPoet, Gauss and !Pretfles!, while Aaron got votes from Imviterbo, BossaNova and Wouter1. I vote for Aaron as well, so he goes to the December poll

Sorry for objecting again, but I must point out that I did not vote for B3n|ght3d's avatar but recalled a rule that I think should be generally applied. (In fact, the reindeer is more commendable than yet another variation of the banknote theme.) But an avatar that had its chance to become Avatar of the Month (in this case even more than once) should, when in doubt, always be replaced. I strongly suggest to amend the rules in this respect.

On the other hand, the question became irrelevant anyway because B3n|ght3d changed the avatar (an improvement, by the way).
