For very short distances the arrow head is not displayed, but there's always a line between the points. In some cases the line isn't always clearly visible, but it's there.bocky wrote:About the hit locations map, it's a great feature, but my map doesn't show anything, although I have a hit (with this note). Is it because the note travelled only 11km therefore not showing an arrow on the note map?

Ok, thanks. I can't see anything on my map, but that's probably because the line is only made up of one or two pixels:

Right timing I guess now hits are getting more and more..
Could you perhaps comment on my earlier suggestions 1/3/4 ??
I had an idea that might make entering those countless hitless notes a little bit more interesting. I hope I can explain this.. What if there was a spread map of neighbouring notes associated to each note? For example, if an user enters a note in Helsinki and gets something like this, the map would tell that the note was probably put into circulation somewhere in the Oulu area.
Just an idea..don't know how feasible it is or whether there is enough notes in the database to make this sensible (how many neighbouring notes are needed). And there is also the danger that some stupidos start entering neighbouring serials when they see a dot in a nice place (it's pointless of course, but that hasn't stopped them before)..

@Bobtail: I understand what you mean and I must admit it's quite nice idea. But I still don't miss this kind of feature, because...
Althought it would be nice to see where notes from same bunch have wondered, I find this too risky. But let's see what the others have to say.

As others have said, we haven't sent newsletters for ages. However, things are progressing and now we're essentially waiting for translators to do their job in translating the newsletter. Some changes will most probably have to be made to the original English newsletter, but it's ready enough for translating to other languages. No, you can't see a preview of the newsletter, you'll have to wait for your turn just like other EBTers.
If you're a translator, check your email and/or go to Babel to translate some of the texts. Thanks

I think it's a fascinating idea. Although I can also understand that it might be problematic as already mentioned...but could something like this maybe be done using the first 4 characters of shortcodes? Or would that make it too uninteresting?Bobtail wrote:What if there was a spread map of neighbouring notes associated to each note?

Weird, for some reason the hit counter for those notes hadn't been updated properly (they were 2,1,2 instead of being 3 for all three). I fixed it now, but I have no idea why they ended up like that. Let's keep an eye on such things.wilg wrote:This triple hit is visible in the 'all hits' list, but is not in the 'triple hits' list.

About the CSV file.. It would be nice if the file contained note id numbers. It's difficult to find your own (old) note links from the system. There are just too many pages to go through. Not to mention it would make certain programmers' lives a bit easier, especially if there was a separate column for hits too (for example containing "*", "+" or nothing).
Anyway, the downside would be bigger CSV files and most users wouldn't necessarily need or know what to do with this new data. Might be confusing.

In the users informations (when I click on a name):
- could it be possible to get the maps, to see where the EBTracker is located?
- Is it also possible to know in the user infos page the name of the EBTrackers just before and after in the Top user?
for example:
International rank : 459
458 -
XXX - 1697 bills
460 -
ZZZ - 1690 bills
+ to add a flag of the country I am in, just because it's nice.
National rank :
1
City rank : 1
