Ok. Your train, ICE 691 will depart Berlin HBf at 13:37.
In Ulm you'll change the train to IRE 4215.
In Lindau you will change the train from IRE 4215 to R 5673.
You will arrive to Bregenz at 22:15.
Your next train, EN 465, will leave Bregenz at 23:34 and will arrive to Leoben at 08:28. In the meantime, you have slept quite exactly nine hours.
Some twenty minutes of breathing nice fresh air in Leoben and your IC 511 will leave for Graz, where it will be at 09:25 - just in time for you to get to your workplace at 10!

Not bad, huh?
You will miss only some tens of minutes of the meeting in sunday and will arrive to work fresh after sleeping well, uninterrupted, through the night.

Is the train arriving too late, after all? Wait a moment, there's more to come!

So.. If the above connection was bad, then let's go for this one:
You will leave Berlin HBf at 12:57 - or, make it Berlin Südkreuz: 13:01!
Not bad at all, you will still miss only about an hour of the meeting! After all, it's beginning on Sunday already at 09:30.
The train's number is ICE 1511.

You will change trains in:
Nürnberg (ICE 1511 -> RE 3393)
Buchloe (RE 3393 -> EC 190)

You will arrive to Bregenz at 21:05. Step out from the train and go eat something small before going to sleep. Your next train's leaving at 21:51 and half an hour should be enough for a small meal in a nice place.

After boarding EN 19465 at 21:51, you will spend over nine hours just sleeping. You will be in Graz already at 07:37.

Actually this is EVEN BETTER than the previous schedule.
Really call that impossible?

Air Berlin has two good flights from Berlin to Wien:
14:55 -> 16:05
19:30 -> 20:45
They are not very expensive considering how muh fun you'll have.

If you still feel like the above train routes are impossible, then consider flying. HOWEVER, since flying is terrible for the atmosphere, please prefer trains.
But, if trains are an absolute no-go for you, then take the plane.

Hmmmkay?

Going via Bregenz by train is much to expensive. I'd only consider flying if I could fly both ways, and with some kind of special offer. And my mind's made up already, too - it's kind of you to check all the routes (all of which I already checked), but I won't go (I'll visit Maribor instead).

Vermeer: If you take a closer look at that, you'll notice that he arrives to München at 00:47 and leaves it again at 03:46. Spending three hours in middle of a night without anything to do is not precisely very convenient. At least I would not accept such a route.

:( Shame on me, I miscalculated my holiday and misread the forum and thought back to the meeting last year (last weekend of August) and saw today that the meeting is already halfway of August, which is during my holiday. This means I will not be there :cry: DAMN, I can kill myself, how can I make such a mistake. Please, do all have fun because this feels horrible.

Hi everyone, long time no see :). Was busy with my study and work... I was looking forward to Berlin, because I was coming the whole weekend, my first whole EBT meeting!!! And first time in Berlin. But Giberski and I just discovered it is not the last weekend of August.... When you all are in Berlin, we are in Norway! I am very dissapointed right now, because I was very excited to come to Berlin and Giberski to.

All I can say now is: have a lot of fun with eachother, show us many pictures and hope to see you next year in.....!!!!!!

Sorry to tell you, but with a very good reason I have to miss this event. I am also in Finland at that time, so no help there either. :roll:

Unfortunately in the end I won't be able to come. Would have been nice to be the first Italian ever to take part in an EBTM... I promise next year we'll fix that. ;)

Have fun, guys ;)
