I will not choose between CZ and euros. I think euros will come one day here. And i am not far away from slovakia, so i will make some euros hunting next year :D .
About introducing euro here, it is definitly a politic problem. the president is sceptic about any evolution about everything. This country is quite use to take decision when every other country had already take it. So i think we will move to euros when Poland and maybe Hungary will, that's mean not tomorrow.

About new euro design in France, it is really a pity. I remember also many commemorative coins of 2, 5, 10 or 20 francs which were 10 times more nice than this ugly 2 euro. I will just take it in the collection because it is the game but it is really not my favorite.

Well, I also think the Euro will arrive to CZ, although I don't know when will it occur... It's nice to think we will be able to move over the whole Europe with the same currency as if we were Romans (I mean, the ancian Roman Empire)

Well, We don't have to collect all them if we don't want to! For example: I have already got all the 2€ commemorative coins (and even I have some in double for exchange) except Finland 2004 and tho ones from San Marino, Vatican City and Monaco. But I will never collect these coins as I can't afford its price!! That's why I say "I collect circulating coins, But Tokens".

PS: I have already decided that I will NOT collect the common commemorative coin 2009 (the one that commemorate the introduction of the Euro) as it seems to me to be SO UGLY!!!!!!. Thus I will collect only the Spanish version (I'm not willing to have 16 times the same coin. One of that coins is ugly enough!)

In another forum, user "Lolo" showed what that 2009 common issue could look like. This is an example (visualization) of a German piece ...

Well, not that terribly bad, but I don't like the design a lot either. Also, I do not like the way it won the vote - ie. basically due to a viral "vote Greek" campaign in Greece. So no, I won't buy all the pieces either, just one.

I've been keeping all the commemorative coins during all this time...

And now I have in double:

6 Uncirculated 2€ coins TOR Spain
6 circulated 2€ coins TOR Spain
1 circulated 2€ coin 2005 Spain
1 uncirc? 2€ coin TOR Nrtherlands

And recently, I got a 2007 2€ from Luxembourg (but not commemorative :( )

Anyone interested?

PS: When I say "circulated" I mean in good condition... I also found other commemorative coins, but in such a bad condition... :x

Nice offer! Basically I now get from them what I want 8) but I suppose others will be interested. Oh, and in terms of €2 commems, I just read about the new French issue (EU Presidency, should come out in early July) ...

http://www.e-monnaies.fr/zoom/presidence.htm

Well well well. At least they won't be "rare" or expensive.

Wow, that and the this are probably two of the most boring-looking €2 coins ever made.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
