Thank you for finding my note! It was brightening up also my evening as I'm now tracking notes outside euro area a few months.

Juankoski was the last city in Finland from where I didn't have any hits last year's spring so I visited a bank there to get enough notes to get a hit. I got my hit then but I'm glad I also stopped at the bus station cafeteria where I got that note you've now got.

I hope our note will travel again !

Dear Finnish trackers.

Since I'm going to do an traineeship in Espoo (Lappävaara) i'm still looking for an apartment in the Helsinki Metropolitan area. I wonder if someone here knows any apartments for the period of 1 September until 6 February (or a little bit longer). I've already applied at Hoas (might be familiar for some of you) but they kinda let you wait in doubt for to long and then say there isn't any room left.

Anyway I would be pleased if someone knows some free apartments, or handy sites. I'm now using mostly VVO and SATO and the helsinki announcement forum.

Situation in rental market at Espoo is very tight. It will be difficult to find any reasonably priced flat for such a short period. Have you red ads or considered issuing one, for example in Helsingin Sanomat, biggets newspaper at capital area?

Then fill in sqm to "Pinta-ala" and max rent to "Vuokra max." -box.

At the moment there seems to be 29 free apartments (20 - 40 sqm), rents between 550 and 1700 eur/mth. Look up apartment listing, it is fairly easy to understand if you translate it for example with google.

Most likely also about 374 other people have found the same flat you have found on the site... The only way to get a flat quicker than in 1½ years is to rent from private people, be the very first one to call and show a very high amount of flexibility. Generally speaking, in Finland your flexibility is what people seem to be measuring when they are trying to figure out whether you are good for something (be that then almost anything) or not.
