@beatminister: ich glaube, avij wird gegebenenfalls schon eins öffnen. und im flal der fälle ist eurobilltracker.net immer ein guter anlaufpunkt.

We hope you had a peaceful Christmas this year and are enjoying your holidays

Unfortunately for EuroBillTracker Santa Claus brought a nasty surprise - the old domain (www.eurobilltracker.com) is no longer usable for our project. It turned out that one of the old webmasters is now using it to run "his own" project and earn money with the site.

This is totally against the spirit of our project (which has never been about money - except yours of course

. EBT has been made successful and BIG by the work of thousands of volunteers contributing endless hours of free work into this project - developing new features, translating, handling press contacts, organize meetings, helping with the support, coordinates, hit moderation .... and not the least by entering lots of notes!

We think that all this shouldn't be used commercially by anybody.

We think EBT is owned by the community, not a single person.

We think EBT is about fun, not about making money.

We've had long discussions in the past days and reached a conclusion - we will transfer the EuroBillTracker project to our new domain and keep it running there. So please update your bookmarks and exclusively use

www.eurobilltracker.eu

from now on!

Simply exchange .com for .eu

All links will continue to work. We have a fully functional site at .eu including all data until 2007-12-24 around 5am. So if you registered any notes at .com since then you should enter this data again at .eu.

When you visit www.eurobilltracker.eu for the first time you'll probably have to log in again. Just type in your old account data and continue using EBT as if nothing has ever happened

Unfortunately we don't own the .com-domain AND it points to an almost functioning version of EBT in the hands of a greedy businessman ... so we need your help:

- Please spread the word about this drastic change - the community needs to know about this transfer!
- Update any links to the new .eu site. This includes forum posts, domains owned by you, signatures etc.
- Stop entering notes at .com - after all, how safe do you consider your data in the hands of somebody who wants to make money off you?
- Write an email to the old support address (contact@eurobilltracker.com) to cancel your account and delete your data. The bad news is that most likely nothing will happen since everybody who's been keeping EBT alive is now busy working at eurobilltracker.eu
- You could of course state your opinion on the old site, e.g. by changing your username, preferrably showing the new URL to inform new users about this move. E.g. I changed my username to Nerzhul_www.eurobilltracker.eu

Habe ich soeben gemacht und habe meine .de.ms Adresse auf .eu umgestellt. Das interessante: Angeblich gibt es die Adresse nicht, so dass ich die eben ein zweites mal registriert habe ^^.

Eine Frage:

Angenommen, User A gibt weiterhin auf der .com Seite ein (z. b. weil er nichts davon weiß).

User B gibt nur noch auf der .eu Seite ein.

User A gibt bei .com am 25.12. einen Schein ein, User B gibt ihn am 31.12 wieder auf der .eu Seite ein.

Dann zeigt es doch eigentlich keinen Treffer an, oder????

Ist es sinnvoll, übergangsweise seine Daten auf beiden Seiten einzugeben?

Richtig. Leider.

Auf diese Art und Weise habe ich gestern drei Weihnachts-Hits verloren.

Hmm, in der Hoffnung das hier noch andere Linux-User mitlesen und das brauchen können, um zwischenzeitlicha uf .com eingegebene Scheine zu portieren, hier mein kleines Script mit dem ich das gemacht habe:

Erläuterungen:
bills251207.csv <-- Der Name der CSV-Datei im aktullen Verzeicnis
tail -60 -> Ich hatte gestern 60 Scheine eingegeben, also interessieren mich nur die letzten 60 Zeilen in der CSV-Datei.
Den iconv-Aufruf brauche ich da ich ein iso und kein utf-system habe.

Das Ergebnis kann man 25er-Päckchenweise einfach ins Forumular pasten. Möglicherweise geht das Eleganter...

ich denke es ist sinnvoll sein profil auf dem alten sever zu ändern, damit so viele wie möglich von der neuen seite wissen!
ich habs auf -STAR´s- altem profil gesehen und wusste bescheid, habe direkt taucher unterrichtet und mein altes profil geändert, ( http://de.eurobilltracker.com/profile/?user=72215 )
mit der auffoderrung zu .eu zu wechseln! denke dieser schritt is wichtig, damit wir zügig dort weiterarbeiten können wir gestern aufgehalten wurden! danke

Das habe ich auch getan - aber mehr aus Solidarität und Protest. Tatsächlich halte ich EBT in der jetzigen Form für tot. Hier bei EBT.eu finden sich jetzt die Forum-Aktivisten und vieleicht ein paar andere User - während die grosse Zahl der "Klein"-User bei EBT.com bleibt, vieleicht sogar ohne zu merken das sich was geändert hat. Na ja, solange bis die Werbebanner kommen, zumindest.

Das bedeutet 2 unterschiedliche Datenbanken, die immer mehr von einander abweichen.
Mit dem ursprünglichen Scheinetracken hat das jedenfalls wenig zu tun. Die einzige Lösung ist IMHO eine Wiedervereinigung.

Da es wohl Bedarf für ein Plattformunabhängiges Script gibt habe ich einen kleine Hack dafür in PHP, also als Webseite, geschreiben.
Bitte gebt meinem kleinen Script nur die Daten, die ihr in die neue Webseite übertragen wollt, und jeweils nur für einen Ort. Mein Script ignoriert die Daten komplett und gibt nur die Werte für Wertstufe, Printer, Seriennummer und Kommentar aus. Nach 25 Zeilen wird eine Linie augegeben.

Es sollte einen Newsletter geben, in dem alle, die den Newsletter aktiviert haben, von der Änderung erfahren.
Vielleicht kann man hier sogar eine Ausnahme machen und das an alle User schicken, auch an die, die den NL deaktiviert haben.
