bhoeyb mentioned somewhere that he would make a trip to Malaysia, I guess he temporarily changed his location to indicate this.
My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.

I can confirm that.

That is the reason he gave for being absent at the Belgian meeting yesterday in Lommel.

Hi all,

This summer I want to spend 2 or 3 days in Amsterdam and 1 or 2 days doing some trips somewhere else in The Netherlands (spreading Spanish notes, adding new dots to my map, taking back to Spain with me some notes and of course some tourism :D ).

I would highly appreciate if you could give me some guidance about some interesting places to visit apart from we see in every guide, or what would be you favorite trip outside Amsterdam. I will go with my wife and we still have to decide if we take our 1 year old daughter.

In addition any suggestions about areas where I can find hotels not necessarily in the centre but well connected to it. Thank you very much.

Best for tourism, or for getting Hits?

I love the Veluwe Park
http://www.hogeveluwe.nl/default.asp?language=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You park your car outside, and then always have to ride a bicycle (white one) inside, which is "included" (the rental) in the ticket. Inside there is the Kröler Müller Museum, which has an amazing collection (if you are into Arts). You have to finish the day locally eating Pannekoeken. (the famous dutch pancakes). With a 1 year old, it depends on how flexible you are.

My second advise would be to just hop on a train and visit the city of Delft. It's a very old, well preserved, university town. Mind you, you will be on the tourist track.

Have fun!

Yes and no...,

Borneo is the complete island with (parts of) 3 countries on it, so Borneo is actually Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei

Thank you Tjariet for this hit. It is only my second passive hit outside of Ireland.
2 days ago I wrote in Eurobilltracker statistics that I had only 2 hits for 23887 Irish notes entered. Yesterday I had a hit with Peadar06 and today Tjariet so I have doubled my number of hits wit Irish notes in 2 days. Long may this last.

Hi Japh,

You are most welcome! And of course I should thank you for entering the note, making it possible for me to track it. I must be almost equally joyful as you, as this is my first Irish hit ever, after having entered about 51,000 notes and after some 890 hits. Hits with Ireland are extremely rare. It being an Irish note (with a serial number with a T) perhaps makes it even more special.

Of course I hope that you will soon get a significantly greater number of hits, especially international ones.

Lots of success!

Tjariet

Hello from Amsterdam. I'm staying here until Thursday, 6 August, so I changed my location temporarily. Tomorrow I'm going to De Nederlandsche Bank to see what I can get there...

Welcome in the Netherlands. I hope you enjoy your stay and make a few hits here.

I can recommend ATM's from ABN-AMRO and Rabobank. There you can often choose the denominations of the amount you require. Especially Rabobank ATM can differ in denominations when there are more than one at the same bank. Keep that in mind.

It's just a pity, the ATM's in Amsterdam don't give any :note-5: .

But you can take the straatcar (Straßenbahn) number 5 to "Amstelveen". Exit at "Amstelveen Center" (= end of the line) and walk just a bit further to the Rabobank.
