if you use the ATM to take and put the money, it's hard for them to make any questions..

bn
Sorry, haven't seen an ATM near here that takes money back, only ones that you can take money from. If you've got one of those of course you're right. If I want to make a cash deposit, I have to go into the bank and hand the money over to a clerk who has to count it. And if you keep doing that on a regular basis, I suspect there will be questions.

The Rabobank in Holland has special machines where you can give your money to the bank, without the help of a clerk.

Those machines are most of the time next to the ATM's.

I must confess I'm doing this kinda regularly, and with rather large amounts, and I did'nt get a letter from the bank or something like that. No clerks have been watching me with a weird look on their face neither. Reason for that could be I do this in the city of Groningen, not in a small town, where everyone knows everyone around.

Why not? You can enter them there and write to the comment field "If this note ever comes back to EBT again, it's stolen".

Why not? Perhaps someone else has entered one of those bills, so you
might get a hit.

I always deposit money on the ATM, unless I need it available imediatly, then I go inside.. because when you put it on the ATM it can take 1 or 2 days to be available. more if there's a weekend and a holiday together...

other things you can do in Portuguese ATMs, don't know if in yours too, is pay bills (phone, electricity, water, university fees etc..), to "put" money on your cell phone, make money tranfers to other acounts, or just check your acount..

and you also see a lot of publicity there.. that I never saw in foreign countries.. while you take or put money, you'll watch small ads.. some times it's nice.. and that way, there's no comissions for using the ATMs, it's all free..

strange.. in Portugal ATMs are available every hour of the day and night.. I guess that's the biggest advantage of ATMs..

What mollie3 is talking about is the deposit machine. That one can only be accessed during the opening hours of the bank.

I get all the numbers from the bills I recieve at work. I write down the numbers and then hand them out to the next customer who pays with a larger bill. Since I work at the international airport in Brussels I asume and hope that if and when I get a hit it will be over a longer distance.

Welcome hoppa!
I'll spend some notes in the Airport on 24-12-03. Maybe your first hit   .

There must be a few thousand people working at the airport, get as many of them as you can to write down codes!!!

It might also help bhoeyb to know roughly where at the airport he should spend the money...

The last couple of years I've flown from Brussels quite a few times, maybe five or six times in two years - compared to once from Amsterdam...

I can't even convince my 10 co-workers to help, so let alone the rest of the airport.
Roughly situated I'm in the basement, the deepest you can get by an elevator open for public.
