Oh my god! This is the last song I thought I would run into here! Well, at least I know now, where it comes from.. In our school (okay, lukio, which is something like secondary school in Britain) the newbies were forced to sing that song this autumn. There are many people who can be considered as nerds or geeks in this particular school, so I'm not surprised anymore why that kind of song is so popular.
It's so true, that simple songs stick in brains better than anything else, like all the stupid commercial songs that won't go away whatever you do.. and an another song we newbies had to sing couple of months back: "Olen pieni turkinpippuri, turkinpippuri" (=I am a little.. Turkeys pepper? I have no idea what it should be in English, is it just the name of a salted liquorice candy?). Can that too be found in the internet, or is it just an output of our crazy tutors twisted minds?
I just realized, that it would be hard to torture me with music: I'm so used to shut my ears from any kind of music (thanks to my music-addicted father and brother), that awful songs don't bother me much anymore.
It must be a gift.

Re: Olen omena!
Story: My dad was arrested sometime in 70's, and he liked to whistle allkind of Bob Marley's songs very often. When he was in jail, he didn't sleep at all (protesting) and whistled one single Bob Marley's song allmost 100 hours to keep himself up.Donald wrote:Have you been arrested? I once saw a movie where the police played songs repeatingly to make the arrested person confess.Dakkus wrote:I was forced to listen to that song continuosly for 78h last August.
When he had whistled few hours, guy in next room said to him "if you don't stop in this single second, i'll kill you when we get out of here". Dad didn't stop... after listening same song about 48 hours, guy in next room started to collapse. He started to hit and kick his door and shout loudly.
When police officer came to look him and opened jail door, that guy started to kick that officer, and shout "is this my only way out??", after that another guy was arrested, and carried to another head of jail building.
