As you are writing crazy stories about finding money, here is mine:
My brother found a tenner in a SWIMMING POOL in Italy!
People are so intelligent and take their money with them in their swimming clothes...
That was really crazy, how can someone be so lucky?!?

Well, after reading this entire thread, I think I am a lucky guy.
Since the euro started in 2.002, I have found all sort of coins lying on the streets (just one of two of each, no more)(1, 2 and 5 cent, much more frequent) or maybe in parking machines or public phones.
It is fun, but the only 2 euro greek coin I've got so far was found by me in one of these public phones, and it was in not very bad conditions!!
As for the bills, I have found a couple of fivers and one of 10, 20 and 50... But no more. Of course, I entered them into here and (of course) no hits at all
Now, I am eager to find some 100, 200 or 500

... That would be ok, even if I was not be able to enter the codes on here

. The problem is that people usually look after these bills very carefully (it seems to me...

).

Hihi. What goes around, comes around: This morning, when walking towards the subway station, I found an utterly wrinkly 5€ note which was sticking out of a candy bar wrapping. What really makes it special was the fact that several months ago I was on the same spot on my way to work and started running in order to catch a bus, when I felt my GSM fell out of my pocket. I stopped, picked it up, but at the same time I must have lost a note in that was also in my pocket.
So, financially I'm in balance, but I'm sort of missing one potential hit because I hadn't registered the note I lost earlier.

Two summers ago, I found a CHF 20 note swimming in the North-Sea, in the Province of Zeeland! That's quite special, isn't it? Maybe the note has travelled all the way from Switzerland floating in the Rhine!! But perhaps even more special: I had just come back from a 5-month stay in Switzerland for my studies!!! So the note was really waiting there for me!
The note I spent during the next holiday in Switzerland with my boyfriend, and we had a good meal from it!
No euro-notes found so far! But maybe my lucky day will come!
