Unverified information on the internet says, that you are able to enter as long as you can show your return flight ticket back home, even with insufficient validity of your passport / ID card. Let's see how things work out.

That's better news. Have to remember to take flight ticket to Nicosia then. We plan to go there on Thursday, so I can inform other people then. Expect if somebody who has rent car and plan to visit Troodos mountains on Thursday and want to take 2 extra people in the car, then we might change plan. Could also drive maybe, and naturally share fuel costs etc.

Just to "confirm a confirmation": I got into the Turkish occupied area (and out again) this afternoon with my (Dutch) national ID-card.

For everyone who wants to join friday evening's dinner, let's meet at the same place as saturdaymorning, the place with the statue of Zeno, which is right next to the Sun Hall hotel and the marina. The main boulevard wih restaurants of all sorts starts there so I'm sure we will find something.

Greeting from Turkish part of Nicosia. Just filled piece of paper. They didn't say anything about that my passport is valid only 3 months more. Also euros are used here widely, so getting Turkish euros shouldn't be a problem. Too bad we missed the bank opening hours in Cypriot side of border
