I can't find the flag of the European Union... Where is it?jaker wrote:The flags of the world have been "officially" rated too (see http://138.251.140.21/~josh/flags/intro.html).
Which Euro Country Has Ugliest Flag?
I'm just reading some comments... It's obvious that the responsible of the site does not know much about the story of the states and why they have chosen this colours, or themes...
For example: Lybia has a flag with only the green colour. It's because the green is Muslim's colour and because Lybia wish to unite Arabs and Muslims.
BTW, have you noticed the similarities between the colours of the Arabic countries (Egypt, Palestinia, Irak... )?
The three colours of the french flag come from the Revolution. The white colour (the king) prisonner of the City of Paris (blue and red). Italy has kept white and red, because emperor Napoleon III helped Garibaldi ti unify the country, and just put green instead of blue.
The former french colony of Africa have kept the tricolor flag, with theor own colours.
Another funny thing... Liechtenstein and Haiti had the same flag. So, Liechenstein added a little crown on its flag.
My favourite site on flags is http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags.

No, I'm sorry Olivier, the points were my own inventionOlivier wrote:I can't find it... I must be blind...
Anyway, it's just his own opinion. I don't agree with his criteria.
As we say in France "les goûts et les couleurs..." (tastes and colours...)

Craft mailed me a .wav file in which he said that sentence.
He wanted to mail it to you, Olivier, but he couldn't find your e-mail adress.
So I uploaded it, you can find it at:

In Dutch it's (I think) "Over smaak valt niet te twisten."
And in Frech (again, I think) "Des goûts et des couleurs il n'y a pas à disputer."
