my points:

12 points: politicians of a nabourly country we want to stay freinds with
10 points: politicians of another nabourly country
8 points: politicians of a country we want to visit soon
and so on and on...

That eurovision contest has become a joke years ago.
Has nothing to do with musical qualities but more and more with political connections.

Besides, most countries don't want to organise it the following year. If only for the tremendous, enormous costs.

It has nothing to do with music anymore.

I've seen all the videos today, and realized I remembered less songs I'd expect (downloaded and listened to them last month) .. that tells something about the "quallity"

I like:
- Sweden: knew and liked that band before, even have some of their cd's :P my absolute favourite (though I doubt they'll win)
- Finland: they could put a little more effort in lyrics, but the rockish sound is perfect :)
- Slovenia: our song, and I like it very much... I know some people will start rolling their eyes as soon as they hear opera voice, maybe even cause it's not in English, but the girl really know how to join opera, etno and pop.. and she's amazing live, can't wait to see her
- Ukraine: weird, crazy and fun! improves my mood every time
- Israel: similar that previous one, and I really like the mixture of languages here (which in other cases usually spoils the song)
- Spain: typical Spanish beat, heard before, but I like the energy and handsome singers :P
- Greece: typical Greek beat, heard before, but I like the energy and handsome singer
- Norway: not a typical Norwegian beat 8O  but the "heard" and "energy" things fit here too
- France: I can't remember the last time I liked the french song, but this year I definitelly do 8) still think it would be better without english words in between
- Moldova: music is nice, the viollins are great
- Cyprus, Belarus, Macedonia: catchy refrains, but nothing really original
- Bulgaria: something special, I'm still deciding if I like it or not... but let's give them a thumb up for the interesting vocals :) I wonder how she'll sound live...
- Georgia: nice voice, I like listening to this song, but don't think it's a winning material
- Iceland: it's ok, but I miss something.. don't know what.. maybe a rememberable (does this word even exist?lol) refrain?
- Austria: decent song, I have no criticism for it, neither any special praise
- Andorra: another listenable rock song, though more pop-punk-boyband style.. still, I like it better than most ballads this year
- Malta: had a hard time deciding under which title this goes, but let's say I like it... the word "vertigo" is interesting and I like the way she sings that

I don't like:
- Serbia: a lot of people like that one, I'm pretty sure she'll get 12 poins from our country... typical balkan ballad, I believe it's good, but it's exactly the type of song that doesn't impress me
- Switzerland: another public favourite that leaves me unimpressed, I also didn't like how he announced he'll try to make a song for the eastern voters (or something like that).. come on, be yourself!
- Croatia: sorry neighbours, bad song, bad singing, bad choice of only one english (also unoriginal) stanza.. but as much as I find that pathetic, I believe they'll get lots of points from us from people thinking "oh our old brothers, they deserve our votes, and I used to like that singer when I was young" eh
- Poland: they seem to like songs with elements of hiphop (or whatever that is supposed to be), I don't...
- Czech Republic: I could really enjoy this song if there were different vocals... now I can't even listen to it
- Russia: I swear I heard this tune before... if I only imagine this, still, sounds like a song from a cheap commercial
- Montenegro, Albania, BiH: another three balkan songs that don't fit my taste
- Turkey: nope, that's not the song I'd like to listen for a whole summer... and I also hate how thousands of (mostly irritating) Turks try to put it on the first place in every online poll they see
- Netherlands, Belgium, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia: don't know what's that with Bene(lux) and Baltics this year, but I found all their songs really boring
- Denmark, Hungary, Portugal, Ireland, Germany, Romania, United Kingdom, Armenia: don't impress me in any way

uhhh that was a long post  it would be so much easier if there was not 42 songs this year... but I feel great now, after writing this.. that's my official review of the songs and I can copy/paste it in every ESC topic on the forums I visit  yay
I know... the past will catch you up as you run faster... I know...

Macedonia does not exist. Its F.Y.R.O.M (Former Yugoslavian Republik of Makedonia). !

DJ Bobo proved yesterday he can't sing. He still makes the kind of music that was popular in the nineties.
The only thing that disappointed me at the semifinal was the elimination of Andorra. I still can't understand how Belarus got through... was I watching the Easterneurovisionsongcontest?

And, to mention, there is no France.

You meant perhaps non-existing Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia?

And - of course - Greece does't exist either.

oh, I'm so soooorry, I forgot
but the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia doesn't exist either, it ceased to exist when the original Yugoslavia ceased to exist in 1991. Now it's "The country that formerly was the Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia", with the designation "the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia"

Great, a third of the finalists come from Western Europe, including the Big Four. How many will we see next year?

Oh well, let's hope we don't have a repeat of Estonia 2002.
