Please, keep in mind that entering a public note is not the same like entering a fake note! Public notes are (in most cases) real notes, but through the publication the notes got on the black list and hits will be moderated automatically.

.....but it's unpleasant to see that your note has been found again and, instead of registered (in my case by a frenchman !!), made public by posting on internet ! (a supplementary french hit would have been much more pleasant ... by far !!

I do wonder: Why are all public notes entered in Nijmegen? Will this affect diffusion stats? Is there any other reason other than that bren_nmgn uses her home town and postcode?

The effect on the diffusion stats will be almost unnoticable, since there are so many notes entered in Holland.
For the last 2 weeks, I have been taking care of all the known Public Serials, which were a lot.
But now, since all the well-known Serials are already entered, it should come down to a couple of notes a week.
You'll see an decrease of notes entered by the Public Serial account as of tomorrow, so no harm done!
