Thanks! Places added.

When I find the time, I will try to complete the map of Germany, because it's most likely the only country where distribution is interesting. (If anyone's willing to publish links to notes that were withdrawn as part of a bunch of serials in sequence — or just send me a pm if you prefer — please do. I would love to add more places in Germany so that we can at least verify the North/South V/U hypothesis.)

Thanks. :)

I didn't care much about adding a lot of towns in Spain because only Spanish (V) notes were put in circulation there. I've added Zaragoza now from your series of ten notes starting here, although normally I wouldn't add it if I had any doubts, since you don't mention "atm" or "bank" in the comment (so the banknotes could in theory have been brought in a bunch by someone).
Ok, thanks!!

My new :note-5: in Southern Germany (mainly Baden-Wuerttemberg)
Only brand-new bills with consecutive serial number mentioned, some from the counter, the majority from ATMs
(no cash-recyling ATMs mentioned, as they just give out what was put in by other customers before -> mix of old and new series, used bills)

Konstanz:
Sparkasse (public bank) as well as Volksbank (credit union) only :flag-fr: U005
in some cities nearby: Singen (Hohentwiel), Radolfzell, Allensbach, Überlingen: only :flag-fr: U005 as well

some links:
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125138854" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125021095" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125036536" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and now the big surprise:
Konstanz, Postbank (private bank): The ATM gave out :flag-es: V006/VA ago, now :flag-es: V005/VA
The only source of V/V in the region

:flag-es: V006/VA88 on the first day of the "discovery"
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125302863" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
a bit later :flag-es: V005/VA86 and V005/VA85
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125707044" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The bad thing is, this ATM only gives out ONE :note-5: maximum per withdrawal, so I have to watch out for the transactions.
(If you withdraw 10€ it gives you :note-10:, so you need to withdraw either 5€ or amounts ending with 5 to get one :note-5: )
But with two withdrawals in a row, I've seen the consecutive serials.

Friedrichshafen, Sparkasse: :flag-fr: U005
Volksbank: :flag-fr: U006 and recently :flag-fr: U002
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125987953" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Villingen-Schwenningen: :flag-fr: U005
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125276740" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ulm: :flag-fr: U006
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125444615" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rain am Lech, Bavaria: :flag-fr: U006
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125461719" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

also a surprise a few days ago in Heilbronn:
Volksbank: 3 ATMs in a row in the same branch: one gave out :flag-fr: U005, the next one :flag-es: V005 and the third one :flag-es: V006
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125707944" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125778608" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://de.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=125778721" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The bills I got as change when shopping were only :flag-fr: U005 so far, the only exception is a :flag-es: V001/VA09 at the train station in Stuttgart.

This is indeed the biggest surprise!

Thanks for sharing all the data. Map updated with both ahm's and joergb30's findings.

Thanks, roberdy. I couldn't find any note of yours in Schneeberg, though. Since it's very close to Hartenstein, it doesn't seem important to me, anyway.

Thanks, Civetta. In spite of an eight-day difference, it's still curious that they have both U and V at the same atm.

Thanks, Dioniz, you're right.

Thanks, jonman. However, I know of some atms that are already feeding used Europa notes. Those Z notes could be the case. If not, Leipzig will be the first town that I know of to have all four denominations circulating in Germany.

After updating the Germany map with some more locations / printers, I'm growing the feeling that U and V are both all over, only N and Z being of real interest. On the other hand, it will be ever more difficult to understand which notes are really new, since, as I mentioned in the above paragraph, used Europa notes have recently been withdrawn from atms.

yes, i also already came across used europa notes from an atm. for me i can be definitely sure, when there are several notes in a series (and also only then i write the comment brand new).
you can check it: bill no. 1, bill no. 2
i will let you know when i run into a larger series which might make the evidence even bigger :wink:
