my dad swears he did not enter my appartement but someone came in , took the old series of fivers and left 57 new series notes . now is the point where i ask alot of questions as it seems that someone broke in , took the money , and maybe later came back to return the same amount ( but obvious to me different notes )

Oh well, sounds like it was an honest thief. Maybe needed many for fast purposes, and returned them after that. Unbelievable, but probably that's what happened

Yesterday I found a 5 € note on the floor in a bus, under the seat in front of me. I asked the girl that was sitting there if it was hers, but as she said no, it went to my wallet

^ Interesting. I've often thought about what I'd do if I found a wallet with bills in it - ie. if I would register them or not. I mean, there's the slim chance the owner is a bill tracker, and that way the person would know I went through the wallet.

This thread made me check out my comments for found bills which happens from time to time and I am surprised to see that it’s a total of 180Euro found over the last 5 years. This includes a finders fee of 20Euros that I received for the return of a found phone.

180Euros should mostly cover the fees I payed in foreign countries for ATM use… I take this as a strong sign from the universe to continue this hobby

But I've found a lot of notes here in Denmark during the years, three 50DKK, two 100DKK, one 200DKK and two 500DKK. The crazy things is, that the police actually demands that every note bigger than 50DKK should be delivered to the nearest police station.. Well, I haven't..

I found this fiver yesterday. I don't know if it happened/got worse while it was wandering the streets, it has a bad tear that is threatening the integrity of the serial number.

This is a new record for me in a single find, both in terms of number of bills and total value. It's an instance that made me think twice about registering the bills due to what I said a few posts before this one, considering a small bundle of bills is pretty much equivalent to someone's wallet with a handful of bills in it.

4 weeks ago today, just before the end of the year, I was coming back home late in the night from a game of pool (cue sports) with my wife, when I noticed something on the sidewalk: two —not one, but two— packs of

. There wasn't anyone in the vicinity, so I picked them, and pocketed them immediately. A few meters ahead, a single taxi was parked in a taxicab stand, and the driver was focused on his cellphone. I couldn't believe I had really found what seemed to be at least 60 € on the sidewalk, and that the money was really mine because there was no way whatsoever to find their owner (unless, of course, they were trackers, and had tracked those banknotes recently).

So I brought them, and we were even more surprised when I counted the notes. 2x5 tenners, a full 100 €!
