And after all, it would be fine if this childish faking at the .com-site would come to an end. Everybody has got the right to be rather unhappy with what has happened, and how it was be done on christmas.

But this faking will lead to absolutely nothing. We all wish to be considered by others as being reasonable and mature people. Let's behave like this.

Phaseolus wrote:A last update in order to keep you informed of the preparation of the meeting.

Participants will be :

Mr. Giro and his wife
Nerzhul and Avij
de-jo and my-self

the agenda will be approximately the following :
- Tour de table allowing everyone to express its feeling
- Sum up of all possible solutions and vote by each participant on each proposed solution
- the solution(s) reaching the highest amount of positive vote will be further discussed in order to achieve a common satisfactory solution.
Umm, so each participant gets a vote? I don't understand why other people than the persons concerned (avij, Nerzhul and Giro) get to vote.

Well - As they try to find a solution it would be somehow silly to have a voting between nerzhul avij and giro would it? I can tell you the result: avij and nerzhul will win on every question with a 2/3 majority 8) :D

That is not the point here. Those are the people that are mostly concerned by this issue. If for example Giros wife gets a vote, why you don't? Or me? Or say, avijs neighbor or Nerzhuls mom? And who says the two ebt'rs (Phaseolus and de-jo) aren't already sided towards either camp? At least they're only voting for solutions to be further discussed, not for final solution.

In my opinion this decision shouldn't be made by voting. You should try to find a consensus.

First they tell their ideas - then they vote on the prefferred consesus - and then they try to find a solution. That's the way I understood it...

don't panic

this way is the better way to find a solution
a good solution for everybody
for a salvation of EBT

users have decided to organize this meeting, and we have to be thankfull
it's not easy
Avij come from Finland, Nerzhul from Germany, De-jo from Belgium
and Phaseolus is very involved for the organization

I know Phaseolus and De-jo will be good judges

thanks to them, we can have hope about a pacific end of crisis

And I will say to you, I'am the voice of united French Forum Community, and we decided to be totally impartial... some of french users are stoping entering notes on EBT, some others (like me) entering notes on both sites... (yep, i'm very very addict  )

wait and see
EBT HAVE TO BE UNITED

I d'ont know if what said phasolus means they (pasolus & de-jo) have aslo a voice for vote ...
But If it's the case, I think it's a good idea.

Why should EBT concern only his creator or actual administrator ? After all EBT exist by all peolple that enter notes on it and those people should have someone to explain our general point of view.

At least, if EBT still exist today against other sites where it was possible to tracking €uro in 2002, it also probably due to the attractiv forum we have here. If craco can also take part by phone at this meeting, I think it'll be good (with or without a vote)

Please don't blow the voting issue out of proportion, it's just a way to have an organized meeting. We're indeed aiming to reach a consensus, ie. a solution which is accepted by all parties of this dispute. The voting process is there to scrap those solution proposals immediately that are deemed impossible, so we can concentrate working on those solution proposals which might have a real possibility to be realized.

Still at home, my flight to Paris leaves in 2 hours..

We (de-jo, Craco and me) have been accepted by both parties as proxies. It should be enough.

As Avij said the voting procedure is just a rapid wya of seeing if a solution is reasonable or not.

ça paraît simple ; mais je pense que j'ai intérêt à penser à faire livrer des pizzas pour la soirée ! Laughing
It seems this sentence has not been added to phaseolus meeting agenda (english Version) but for the spirit completenes I'll translate it:

"This seems to be simple. But I will think of having a pizza delivery in the evening."
