Quoting the article:
Banks explained the plan with the fact that the 5-euro note is of poor quality and can get easily damaged or jammed when being dispensed by an ATM, which will cause problems in people getting cash.
I think there are many trackers who know that indeed, sometimes they may jam, but most of the time it is no problem to get 40 :note-5: from an ATM.

We had problems with new notes - they have problems with old ones. Somehow remembers me of the millenium bug which never came up in early 2000 but you can make news with it :)

On the other hand this means the estonian banks get old cash like the slovenian and slovakian banks did. Could produce some intereesting hits in early 2011. Maybe one of my notes manages to get to Estonia that way and than to Finland for being tracked furthermore... 8) 8)

I think there is still this 'before the 2011 elections' date for the referendum which has already been delayed several times (maybe due to the 2009 crisis). However as Denmark elects a new parliament in 2011 it could be dangerous for the government to 'lose' such a referendum with oncoming elections (as they could be lost than too...).

Hopefully, this is the right place....

Despite my friend Arthur, who was trying to teach me estonian, I didn't manage to speak in, but I do want to welcome our estonian brothers 8) in this large community....

This moment remember to me that a little ago, I ask the same friend Arthur to translate this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SodFZCLr6pY

This estonian singer is named Rolf Junior (real name Rolf Roosalu). He rewrite one of his most popular song, Ingel (Angel), with this new "euro" text. I bet "Eesti kronist" would be the former estonian currency, and "Euro", "Eurozonist" is too easy to bet.... So, my friend Arthur said that this is a video made to launch the idea of changing currency with Euro ("Euro ju on agedam" means something like "The Euro is stronger" than Eesti Krone).

Let's track all Europe....

The next Baltic Euro-country will be coming.

Earlier this week Latvia asked the EU to get the Euro in 2014.

And Lithuania tries to get the Euro in 2015.

Here we have a "Welcome, Latvia!" video, featuring European politicians. Not thrilling but a nice gesture. :)

Welcome!
Is there a possibility for the translators to make a press release for the (local) press in Latvia and maybe also the forum in Latvia.
