It seems that in Switzerland I cannot withdraw Euros with my German Visa debit cards though the ATMs advertize that they dispense EUR and CHF.
Has anybody had the same problem? What cards do you use when withdrawing Euros?
I noticed some time ago that Euros in Swiss ATMs seems to be common. I had luck in Porrentruy, Solothurn and Zürich. Not all ATMs have them, but I tried in these places and all had at least one ATM.

Porrentruy - Raiffeisen and Banque Cantonale de Jura

Solothurn - UBS

Zürich - Zürcher Kantonalbank
Also in Liechtenstein I got Euros from the ATM.

Schaan - Landesbank (next to the station Schaan-Vaduz)
All dispense only

, in Liechtenstein with choice of notes.
I tried with my Rabobank and my Revolut cards, both are Visa debit.

I'll visit the US next year and I was wondering if any of you know if exchange bureaus in the US accept changing let's say a bunch of

for a

,

or even

. Also, if anybody has been to the states before, is it better to get us dollars from an ATM once I'm there or should I echange cash in the airport? Any euro atms around the NYC area?
Always best to get cash from an ATM.
Don't go abroad with

They are from the old series which is often not accepted any longer in non-euro-states.
Also generally don't go there with notes from the old series.
I know about a woman who paid a visit to her former home country, the Dominicanian Republic. She had some old

with her which weren't accepted.

Well, people are just not educated. When the Europa series came, the weren't accepted because they didn't know them. But the old series are still legal tender and the ECB very graciously state they
will always retain their value.
I'm not so confident about the "always" part, but at least there are currently no plans to phase them out.

While true that it's a lack of education about which notes are valid and which not, it's not very helpful when they refuse your payment because of it.

When this comes to exchange offices, often seeing high face value, this could be due to their policy rather than lack of education. I've seen this practice with US dollars, where notes older than 5 years are considered suspicious because easier to counterfeit.
My favourite exchange offices in Prague still accept the old ones, but I assume in the E.U. they have good channels to check them out.

My current working theory for

Switzerland is that all sites with an atm will have euros. Not necessarily every atm, it is common that when there are multiple atms close to each other, not all have euro. But I've found euros in small villages with just one solitary stand-alone atm.
All do

, some do

, usually with note selection.

Is it possible to withdraw euros with an euro bank account card? In

Prague there are ATMs from the euronet network that deliver euros but you need a non euro account to withdraw them… with rogue change rates.

I have used my Rabobank card with my dutch account and my Revolut card and all transactions were in euro, no fees, no exchange rates.

Newcastle Airport has a Euro ATM in the main hall. It is a machine from ChangeGroup and it is not a SEPA transaction, but one with an exchange rate to GBP, and a pretty bad one too. The rate will be displayed before the transaction.
And while walking to the Metro and already inside the metro gates, I saw an ATM on the right wall (coming from the airport). I haven't checked it, but I doubt very much it will give Euro. But if anyone can check next time, would be great.

I went in UK

last week and I try ChangeGroup ATM in London-Gatwick Airport (I guess in many other ones too): 3

==> 77,69€

Hi, yes it has been mentioned in this thread that OTP does that. Have you been successful? Someone mentioned that it is for OTP customers only. Is there a note selection available? How much was the fee?

Sorry for this late answer.
It was succesfull for me at each of them and as i am from Belgium, i am very far from being OTP customer

. You can't choose the bills, but one ATM in Budapest near Deák Ferenc tér
https://maps.app.goo.gl/hvpKWxeBwKTKFBeu8 have 5€ bills but not 10, just have to choose an amount like 35

. This year i even get a hit with a bill from this ATM
https://fr.eurobilltracker.com/notes/?id=246877117
For me with my belgian card (Argenta bank), no costs, exactly the same if i used a belgian ATM.
