I'm super happy Janek Rubeš finally decided to face this problem. I tried these rogue ATMs when they appeared in Prague a few years ago and I advise people to stay away from them but these machines spread as a virus. What Janek doesn't say is that tourists with euro accounts can't withdraw money with their cards. These ATM are really designed to scam people.
Tourist traps are legions in Prague and the ones around change are legions. In 2018, I engaged in an action against some rogue change offices. Janek Rubeš had actions too.
In the end this triggered a change of law. Change offices are still free to apply the rates and fees they want, but people have 2h where they can go back to the bureau, cancel the transaction and request the money back.
