2014 if indeed printed, will eventually come out. Maybe they are trying to get rid of all the first. The amount of crisp S002 circulating around Central Athens lately is unbelievable. Maybe because BoG finally decided to withdraw all 2002 notes, (still, around 5-10% of the total).
Same happened with the . We know N007 has been printed a while back, but still I have only seen 2 of them, unless they were shipped outside Greece , (which for is a bit rare). Meanwhile, they are circulating every available N006 and S029 they have in the vaults, obviously leaving N007 for later, as the last batch to be released before the 2015 is introduced, assuming, still, that N007 are still here and not shipped, and just a very few have been released into circulation.
And finally, regarding the 2014 , Y001 and Y002 are out but still very rare, I get to see one a day at the shop, if any, but we are flooded by crisp 2002 N036/N037s . Vault emptying maybe.

Problem with some of the U/U notes.
They are being rejected by scanners on the slot machines and note dispensers.
Also in Tesco supermarket the note was rejected.
This has happened a few times but only with the U/U notes.

I'll be aware, although I'd say I have already deposited a couple of them via ATM and had no problem.

In half of 2nd series notes are U/U and we do not have any problems concerning them.

The new will enter circulation on Wednesday, November 25th, 2015, Mario Draghi just said at the unveiling ceremony at the ECB in Frankfurt.

And here's the official announcement. Apart from the innovations on the banknote itself (particularly the window feature), there is another novely: the launch day, 25th November, is a Wednesday, not a Tuesday as in 2014 nor a Monday as in 2013. So will the be put in circulation on a Thursday?
