1. All S002/S I've seen in public records or in my hands are no lower than S**002, which makes me suspect that there are S**001, and these might be a test series printed on plate S001

The obvious mistakes I can think of when one enters a S001/S are: the real denomination is , the real plate is S010, the real plate is S011. If these mistakes were happening equally, and all of the S001/S were mistakes, then, taking from the sum of notes per country registered up to now, the expected distribution would be something like 65 in Germany, 14 in Austria, 10 in Italy, 6 both in The Netherlands and in Belgium, and the rest elsewhere. Because this is very different from the current distribution, there's a slightly higher chance that there are real notes registered for this plate.

I am strongly suspicious about R010. I've never seen a picture of it. Furthermore, there's no gap in the serial numbering between R009 (up to X159 + some replacement notes up to X170) and R011 (X160-X169 + some replacement notes at X159 and X170). On Mr. Sohier's liste, he actually attributes R010/X the same value as all others R006-R011, which is intriguing.

As to S001, I haven't seen a picture either (nor any evidence in fact) but I suspect they're real, although rare. I never found one for sale, none was ever reported as a public serial, and I couldn't find a single one on public user stats (there's one exception: gabonik registered a S**153 — this, however, is most likely a simple transposition error, because S**153 are S010).
What makes me think that this a real plate, then? Here are all my reasons:
