Guess that the address listed in that Tenders Diary refers to the seat of the company, not necessarily to where the notes are printed. Giesecke & Devrient for example currently has two locations, Munich and Leipzig. The seat will continue to be Munich, but all G&D euro notes will be printed in Leipzig as from some date (TBA) later this year ...LucasFr wrote:Note sure about W printer code. DE is one of the few countries to launch a bidding process for printing its share of euro banknotes. A 4-year open contract has been noticed by the Bundesbank then awarded in 2013 and all the details are given in the TED database which is publicly accessible to everyone. Five printing companies have been selected during the process. They may or may not get real work though, depending on the contract form, quantities, and some other considerations. So we may see X/X (and maybe W/W), E/E, R/R, P/P, H/H and/or J/J Europa banknotes printed for DE.
