Hey, come on, there have been plans to connect Russia and Alaska, and not only by building a bridge but also by digging a tunnel! "The Bering tunnel would be longer than that under the English Channel by eight miles" - so after completing it we could drive (or take a train) from London to New York :P

It would be difficult to make a tunnel from London to NY, London is at the eastcoast from United Kingdom, Maybe from the westcoast is "easier" if they would make a tunnel (or a bridge! :P )

Maybe in the futere they can make bridge in 5 minutes with MAGIC

But noone will ever drive so much kilometers (it's also impossible to drive it in one day, they can make a camping on a island in the middle of the ocean??
People get more stupid every day, look to the dutch politic!

Or people can buy a big machine for there car so they can drive very very very fast 8)

My fantasy goes to far now.

Greetings.

Fons, I think Annie_in_exile doesn't mean that there will be a tunnel from
London to New York, but that one can go from London to New York by
going through the Channel tunnel, through Europe, through Russia,
through the Bering tunnel, through Alaska, through Canada, through the
U.S. and finally reaching New York

Phiuu. A sigh of relief. Thanks Elmo, that’s exactly what Annie meant. I just didn’t want to spell it out to Fons. :?
