they are working on it, the point is that the police in one moment can see or its you, in belgium it don't stand on the id but when they put you id nr in their pc all the things comes on screen  one of the reasons is that a lot of people have a false id, or even sell it. :?

yes, i think belgium is the onliest country didn't have that, in germany also is the color of the eyes, color of the hair (it would be fun with mines, i color my hair as long as i know and not only white  ) and special marks (tattoos, scars etc) written on it.
The info in a Finnish ID card:
Surname (Ryyppö), Given names (Tuukka Petteri), Sex (M), Card No. (9 numbers, *cencored*), Nationality (FIN), Date of birth (02.04.1986), Personal Code (Four letters/numbers, *cencored*), Date of Issue (16.09.2003), Date of Expiry (16.09.2008), Holder's signature (*signature*).

So, no useless stupidities like height and colour of this and that.. And my card has a nice chip built in ;)

I made a summary of the information:

1 HNL: 1m 94cm
2 Elmo: 1m 93 cm
3 Chrisu: 1m 91cm
4 Aaron: 1m 90cm
5 Johnyboy, Eurocracker: 1m 88cm
6 Querty, nodish18, !Pretfles!: 1m 87cm
7 Bogpoet: 1m 81cm
8 Fundamental: 1m 80cm
9 Max: 1m 79cm
10 Dave1980, ItalianMoney: 1m 76cm
11 Dakkus: 1m 75cm
12 Valkske: 1m 74cm
13 Bhoeyb: 1m 73cm
14 Sneakster: 1m 72cm
15 Jaqe, Akajoe: 1m 70cm

17 B3nIght3d: 1m 65cm

So bhoeyb here you are not the smallest. :D And also not in the top 10. :D Until now HNL is the highest. It's strange that there isn't anybody who is taller than 2 meters.
Ah, look at all the lonely Euronotes. Where do they all come from? (The Beatles, Eleanor Rigby)

In theory that card can be used fot internet shopping. Put a card in a reader and you're recognized as you. Of course there's the little point that no service still supports it. But oh well. No prob for me, as I don't have to let anyone ever look at the stuff in the chip. It's just a nice useless techno gadget ;)

Each Finnish person has a distinct personal code. For me it's 020486-XXXX (Cencored). Only I in the whole country have this number. This is what the code means:
02 (Born in the second day) 04 (..of April) 86 (..in year 86) - (in 20th century [+ = 19th century, A = 21th century]), XXXX is the code that specifies which one of those people born in that day I am.

The code is what the country knows me as. If I need to do something with the authorities, they ask for my personal code. Then they enter it on their computer and get all of my info from the computer (depending on how much the officer is allowed to know). Most of times that consist of address, full name, history, specific info and so on. I think the system is very handy to keep things working well.

So Finland has a semantic ID while Germany has an artificial ID (a 10-digit number). Both have unique IDs for every person, but the Finnish system has the advantage that everyone can easily remember the own ID (everyone knows his own birthday anyways and a 4-digit number is easy to remember).
