Re: Do I have a counterfeit 20?
yeah
no, seriously, this happens with many printers, they have a production volume for one year, start with one plate number (U005), continue with the next (U006), and at the end of the production volume they find some left-over sheets of the first plate (U005) and print the last numbers on them. You can see from this that U005 and U006 "belong together", they have been printed in the same year
same happens with 5 Euro R001-R006 (X150-X21x)
or 5 Euro P011-P016 (X220-X31x) (this is a special case, they seem to have fix intervals where they either use P011-P013 or P014-P016)

"Do you have Buddha-nature or not?"
The cow answered: "Moo."

Well it´s a bit weird because, I have others notes M*654 to M*665 and they all are U006. I have lost fait on Valora, it was said that Portugal was not going to produce for this year any
note, and out of the blue today I got a like new
M*47 U019! they jump over the U017-U018 short codes without notice

Could it not be a leftover from last year? The year is still relatively new.Dawizz wrote:Well it´s a bit weird because, I have others notes M*654 to M*665 and they all are U006. My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.

Re: Do I have a counterfeit 20?
StrThis week I happened to see 2 x fake
bills
Strangely enough, they were the first one I have seen with corresponding short/serial code. One was a J016/S202 and the other one G006/P119. Both of them were made of very poor quality easy distinguishable without touching note.

Another 20 found today by a colleague of mine.
J003e2 with a Serial Code of s90090030341.
Very good in quality but paper felt fake and had a wax-like texture.

Today I got a weird
from a Bank, it is/was (I don't have the note anymore) an old M36*** U011** it was more brown than blue
the weight was different she was a bit like a piece of carton rather than a regular
note. Was this note a fake one? if yes sorry to say but it's going to be somebody else problem, I got the note from a Bank after that I have nothing to do with her.

Re: Do I have a counterfeit 20?
On the crime page in a newspaper here they published the serial numbers of counterfeit notes found by police in a certain case. Is it of any use on EBT? Shall I post them in forum, send to an admin, or something else? (I took a photo but can't find it now in my computer
, so can't check if the checksum is right)
