I've in my hand a Lagarde U040, but Eurobilltracker say the serial number is wrong !!

Possibly the numbering system for the French has gone beyond U**99..., where ** is in the range from A1 to F3. I guess the serial number of your U040 is U**0..., where ** is in the range from F4 until K7 (or perhaps L7 if the I for India is skipped). Do you have a scan of the first part of the serial number?

I will integrate these new bills in the system later this evening, it should then be possible to enter U040/US bills tomorrow or the day after.

Support is added in the test system, now it's up to avij to add the changes to the live system.

The new french nummeringsystem could be (after the discover of Kleman of the U040 CL) ):
UO0 = A1 (first position on the sheet) until UT3 = I6 (last position on the sheet)
Wait and see.....

Here are two other hypotheses:


starting at A1 as usual, skipping letters O and Q, which haven't been used on either code due to possible visual confusion


starting at I6, unlike the previous Europa U twentiers, but not unheard of (some Europa X, some 2002 G/P or P/L, for example)

Just out of curiosity: I see that you go from S5 directly to T0. Is there a reason you skipped S6 to S9?

Yes. It's called lack of attention and no revision…
