Lapérouse : Jean-François compte de La Pérouse was a French navy officer born in 1741 , he was chosen by king Louis XVI to explore the pacific ocean and sail around the world but he never came back as his ship is believed to have sunk near Vanikoro, New Guinea in 1788.

McClure was an Irish explorer of the Arctic. In 1854, he was the first to transit the Northwest Passage (by boat and sledge), as well as the first to circumnavigate the Americas.

Urdaneta (1498 – 1568) was a Spanish Basque circumnavigator, explorer and Augustinian friar. He discovered and plotted a path across the Pacific from the Philippines to Acapulco in the Viceroyalty of New Spain (present day Mexico) used by the Manila galleons, which came to be known as "Urdaneta's route."

Victor was a modern French polar explorer (1907-1995) he also was an ethnologist and scientist , he did participate in the first expedition traversing Greenland in 1934 , he then was at the head of French polar expeditions from 1947 till 1976 and during that time he headed 150 expeditions in Greenland , North & south poles.
