How do you get so many new places so often? +100 is hard work and requires a lot of traveling since one "city" is a quite large area and you need to travel quite far to score new ones. At least when you're having 500 or more. Then I guess you already have every city and town with 100km radius.

I believe on the defintion of "a place" or "a city". For example, in France, we have a game called "36000 communes" ; it's because, in this country, communes have not been merged. Certain "commune" do not count more than 150 inhabitants...

I believe that "communes" in Finland are much bigger, no ?
