Maybe they work just like the ATM's in Switzerland and Liechtenstein: only inhabitants can get Euros from those machines.

They think that only locals need to get Euros before going abroad (because they don't have their own bank there, they can get euro's in their own country).

Foreigners would have ATM's of their own bank when they arrive home, where it's easier and cheaper to get the Euros in stead of in Brittain, Estonia, Switzerland, Liechtenstein etc.

Well at least there was a VISA-sign in both of machines and they even let me go so far that I could choose amount of cash I want to have and only after that there came a text that transaction cannot be made at the moment. :?

Unfortunatly I didn't try to get euros from these ATM because I was in a hurry but I saw a lot of people done that.
These ATM should be work for all people because there is a Visa and Mastercard sign (as aplfi noticed) and it's located after the check-in desks just in front boarding gates

I am traveling next weekend to Image Prague, where we will be spending the weekend (Friday evening - Sunday evening). We will be arriving there by tran from Berlin.

I would need some hints on how to get at least some euros from there then? I was planning to change in change office :note-50: into 35€ wort local money, thus getting back :note-10: and :note-5:. And my girlfriend would do the same. That would already give us four notes from there. :D

Any other ideas how/where to get Euro notes there? D you think the change offices would offer to change smaller euro notes they have into :note-50: notes? Somewhere I got this impression that this would be somehow beneficial to them and they could be doing this quite easily. Any ideas on that? :o

At the reception desk of the hotel in Prague, ask to change a :note-20: or a :note-50: into smaller notes, as "You would need it to reimburse a friend and you don't know where to find change... " ; you can try with other tourists, too... 8)

I was 3 months ago in Prague, its quite hard to change eurobills there smaler. I proceeded the tactics you mentioned above, everytimes I changed 35 or 25 € with a :note-50: or :note-100: € bill and asked friendly to give me back 5ers. After doing the "official changing" I asked again if they could cange me 2 or 4 :note-50: in :note-5: or :note-10: .
Mostly I succeeded and received some nice forward pass.
Dont try to change money small without changing in krones, I have been never sucessful (tried it 10-15 times) the only result has been some irritated friends
And be careful of the changing-taxes, they are pretty high, specially near Václavské náměstí (Wenzel-Place) and Karlův most (Karls-Bridge),they´ve got extremly high rates... better to change somewehere pheripheral

There is a €-ATM at the :flag-uk: Folkestone Channel Tunnel Terminal. Didn't cost me extra to withdraw 3x :note-20: there...

Here we are a picture of these ATMs taken yesterday at Heathrow airport (Terminal 1)

I was in Terminal 1 of London Heathrow today. There is now a combined euro/dollar ATM. Just follow the signs towards gates 38-58 and turn right at the "House of Whiskey". On the wall to your right are three or four payphones plus a Travelex ATM. It has only :note-20: and :note-50:, so choose wisely :) --> 80 euros means 4 times :note-20: :D
(this is one of them)

I hope my bank won't overcharge me for using a Euro ATM in Britain...

Wow, you are lucky! Maybe I just look suspicious, as they always tell me they can't exchange € for € (some rubbish about money-laundering)

That also happened to me a lot, just a few ladies changed the money (two of them even said "Actually I'm not allowed to do this, but I will make an exception". I had 11 notes from Heatrow in the two times I have been there (return flight). My 12th UK-note was laying behing the reception desk at in the hotel were I had to stay because I missed my flight due to BMI (delayed flight towards London)
In Canada, they didn't want to change € to €, I only received a few notes when changing my Canadian Dollars to Euros on the way back home.

I almost forgot, but my bank surprised me by charging just 80 Euros for getting 80 euros out of a British Euro ATM! If/when I am in Heathrow again, I know where I'll be going

At the Turkish Riviera things are traded mostly in EUR (or in USD).
The Turkish Lira is less used in that area. (Tourists and Turkish sellers don't like it due to the daily varying exchange rate...;))

For that reason there are a lot of ATMs for EUR and USD in many towns (Ran by local turkish banks like Deniz Bank etc. - my mother hadn't any problems by using it with foreign credit and debit cards :))
