I find it somewhat funny how everywhere in Europe outside Finland and Scandinavia the flats get cold in wintertime and you start needing a thicker blanket.

I'm wondering how it was possible to split Czechoslovakia peacefully into the Czech Republic and Slovakia and if Belgium will be split in the futur?

It was political decision, because only 37% of Slovaks and 36% of Czechs favored separation. Both nations consider each other up to the present day as "brothers".

I highlight this topic again, because I wonder if someone wants to tell us a story  .

It is a pity that this topic does not find the interest of the users anymore. Maybe we should see that we use less colours for highlighting the words. So it is easier to post a reply.

I don't think colors are the stopper here, there must be something else but I don't know what. Maybe the subject isn't clear or specific enough…

Well, good idea. On the other hand, sometimes the multitude of colours made it lengthy to post a reply. And years ago, this topic was very popular. So, you are right, there must be something different, but what?

What do you think about speaking from your actual city where you live, in each post ? I hope that this suggestion would give an impulse to the present topic. So, who can begin with this idea ?

Kieku ikollna nitkellmu bid-djalett tal-belt fejn noqogħdu? Nispera li dan is-suġġeriment jagħti spinta lis-suġġett. Allura, min jista jibda b'din l-idea?

This would be best if we have some kind of audio as it would be more interesting to hear the acual sounds, I think.

It is now 45 years since the fado “Lisboa, não sejas francesa”¹ was born, and it is being recalled today amid a new “French invasion”, driven by tax incentives that inflate the housing market and push Portuguese residents to the outskirts.

___________
⁽¹⁾ Lisbon, don't be French (a song still known to every Portuguese today).
