23°C in Helsinki. But I think it was even warmer in Vaasa today, before I leaved to Helsinki by train.

The alltime-record in the Netherlands (38.6 Centigrade) has just survived today's weather: The warmest place in the Netherlands today was Maastricht (38.2 Centigrade).

-29,7 C outside my window last night in Rovaniemi. Wind chill makes it even feel colder. In the coldest places around the town -35 C and in Muonio -41,1 C, in north-western Lapland near Swedish border. This might be the coldest period this winter.

At the warmest, it was about 8°C this afternoon, but at 1pm, it was closer to 5°C with showers. Next week, it wil go down to 0-5°C. Yes, Brussels is still south of Winterland

-34 °C here in Rovaniemi town center when I got home from work tonight. Luckily I do have arctic diesel in my car. Normal diesel oil would freeze in these temperatures.
They predict it might be around -36 °C tomorrow morning. And somewhere in northern Finland it might again be -40 °C. Very likely this will be the coldest night this winter here in Lapland.

Six days ago, temperatures finally dropped beneath 0°C in Brussels, at least at night. Since then, it has been between -4 and +4, but it's getting slightly warmer in the coming days. Too bad, it also means that Saturday, it might rain again...
