Time to plan a Turkish dothunt tour 8) .

BTW, the Euro ATM in Arlanda Airport Sweden still does not accept foreign credit and debit cards  .

I noticed that there is an ATM that gives Swedish Krone, Euros and US Dollars (all from the same machine) at the main train station in Stockholm!! 8O It is in the travel centre on the platform where the trains from Arlanda arrive. (I didn't use it, however, although I did exchange some € for € at the neighbouring exchange desk).

I live in the UK and have a foreign currency account in euros that comes with a cash card, I tried using it in Luton airport where they have two euro cash machines but they didn't work for whatever reason. I tried the card on the same day in Paris and it worked just fine so I guess the machines were out of order. And if you're wondering, no I don't pay anything to withdraw euros, one of the nice things of trading foreign currencies :-)

I don't know if these machines are cashing like those in Switzerland: there only locals (Swiss inhabitants) can get Euros out of it.
Foreigners can only get the local currency ("the banks" think the foreigners take enough Euros with them and they don't need them in the UK). For local people it's useful to get Euros on the way abroad.

If this is so, you can get Euros with a British account  .

Interesting here is, that the bank account in question actually /is/ British. It's not a foreign-currencyaccount, but foreigncurrency-account.
But apparentlz the ATM's computers see it as a foreign card because it isn't debited in pounds :)

In Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, I found an ATM dispensing Estonian crowns, dollars and euros. Of course I chose euros! The ATM worked with my normal Dutch bank card.

Do you have an exact location?

Mind you, the exact location of the ATM can usually be seen in the bank transaction history. Foreign ATMs often include their addresses in the listing you can read for example in your online bank :)

Here we are a picture of these ATMs taken yesterday at Heathrow airport (Terminal 1)

I was in Terminal 1 of London Heathrow today. There is now a combined euro/dollar ATM. Just follow the signs towards gates 38-58 and turn right at the "House of Whiskey". On the wall to your right are three or four payphones plus a Travelex ATM. It has only :note-20: and :note-50:, so choose wisely :) --> 80 euros means 4 times :note-20: :D
(this is one of them)

I hope my bank won't overcharge me for using a Euro ATM in Britain...
I now know, that when you choose 180 euros, you get 9x :note-20:; even better, when you choose 280 euros, you get 14x :note-20: 8) 8O :D
Unfortunately, I received only new notes today (to top it all, they were G006/P, as if I can't get those in The Netherlands  )

The airport in Liverpool has at least 4 ATMs (all Travelex) which dispense :note-20:'s! Yesterday I took € 140, which came in 7x :note-20:, today I took € 240 and it came in 12x :note-20: ! Unfortunately, only new notes in series (and again a series of G006/P :()

What is by the way the correct address of London-Heatrow? I guess this is not correct. In any case I came through Heatrow yesterday and apparently in Terminal 5 there is no Euro ATM.. :|

Would be nice if someone could gather all the tips in here to the first message...

People use different city names for Heathrow, I myself used Middlesex, which apparently is incorrect (according to Wikipedia, county Middlesex does not exist anymore). Maybe I should change my entries...

Correct city name should be Hounslow, post code starts with TW6. TW6 1AP is the correct post code for Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (see this google maps link). EBTs dot plotters have placed my Heathrow bills right on point! For example, see here.

Does anyone know if there are Euro cash dispensers in Kopenhagen and Malmo? I've planned to visit Kopenhagen next summer, maybe we make a daytrip to Malmo..so I can add two countries to my EBT-list
