Re: NIG (NoteInfoGenerator)
I figured out the problem. NIG now works on the full UK postcode, so for example CT18 8XX or N1 9AL (postcodes for one of my notes and a hit in London), but in the most ideal case, it should only regard the first two letters or the first letter and number (in the previous cases CT and N1).
I notice that the Dutch postcodes are also treated in a similar matter, in this case only the four numbers are used, the letters are ignored.
The big question is then of course: How to make the UK postcodes work in a similar way?

My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.

Re: NIG (NoteInfoGenerator)
In codes_germany.txt and codes_netherlands.txt are some links to the forum, is it possible to change them in the next version?
In this post avij wrote that the official link to the forum is forum.eurobilltracker.com.
The users_global.txt from the download-package isn't really up-to-date, so i created a new file for myself.
My file contains the users with more then 50000 notes entered. I have chosen this mark, because of this forum game.
Here is the link to my users_global.txt.

Thanks! I'm always too lazy to update the file myself.kettenseger wrote:Here is the link to my users_global.txt.

Re: NIG (NoteInfoGenerator)
Surly a simple answer for the pros in this board:
I just downloaded and unzipped NIG 1.74, created the CSV-files while logged in in EBT and put them in the same directory than the nig.exe.
Furthermore i typed the path in the setting boxes and saved settings.
Unfortunately i received the message: "No CSV filed downloaded. Nothing to analyse".
What am i doing wrong?? How does the path string have to look?? Somebody who can help??
Thankx for your advice,
roadstagent

You could use the "select" button at the end of the box and browse to find the CSV files. Then you always get the right path.

Thank You for your answer, de*lerger.
I tried that before with no success, because the browse window only shows an "open" button and a "quit" button.
Both are not helpful at that stage.
I am still searching for the "set" or "submit" button as described by Bobtail...

You have to click the "open"-button to set the path to your files.roadstagent wrote:...

Sounds strange but that's the windows-way.

"Vielen Dank an kettenseger für den erfolgreichen Tipp", that rules.
I guess no one will believe me, but of course this was my first idea, too. It ***has not*** worked with the previous attempts.
Regarding the performance of the NIG i only find two words:
U N B E L I E V A B L E C R A Z Y ! ! ! !

Re: NIG (NoteInfoGenerator)
There is a new Version of NIG. Version 1.75 can be downloaded here.
I made a new users_global.txt. In my list are all users with more then 50.000 notes.
At the moment there are 178 users in my list, but I think I have to do an update next week.

Re: NIG (NoteInfoGenerator)
Many thanks to kettenseger and all the other NIG-makers. When I found the notice about the new version on the forum, I tried again to use NIG today, and now I get nearly all available statistics (when I tried last time one year ago, I only managed to get the first sheet with general information).kettenseger wrote:There is a new Version of NIG. The only problem is, that the three files nigstats.css, blue_arrow.gif and red_arrow.gif weren't added, and that makes part of the statistics less attractive to look at (as I see from other trackers NIG-examples). A failure notice simply mentioned, that those three weren't loaded - even though they all appear in the same unzipped map. Do I have to put in those three files seperately somehow?

P.S: Does anyone know a trick to get more than 65.000 notes from the csv-file into an older excel-version, with its limited lines? The help-notice says something about automatically making more sheets into one map, but I always get only the first 65.000-soemthing notes, that we entered, and nothing else
