Please demoderate the mentioned Hits!nossi wrote:Thx for demoderating the hit with DonRedhorse! But why did you now moderate this one? Klagenfurt and Krumpendorf aren't the same village. I can't see any reason for moderating differnt hits. It is ok, that only one Klagenfurt hit counts but it can not be, that this thing make an other hit uninteresting.
Second it is the same with the hits with jack_isidore. There is a hit Klosterneuburg - Wien and the other ones like this are 1220 Wien to 1210 Wien. Therefore one of them should remain unmoderated.
Please act in this way. Thanks so much!

thank you, mods, for demoderating the nossi/jack_isidore hit. there should be some better solution than now to avoid such boring please-unmoderate-posts in the future.nossi wrote:Thank you BaliBennie!

Please moderate this hit.
I believe, that there is a mistake (like 2 changed digits) or something else.
Definitly i have this note not in series - even the shortcode is an old one, which is not normal for consecutive series today.
thx

please unmoderate it.
there was another valid hitby burky this day: with different denomination, different district of vienna by burky, also different district by me and different time difference. was this your reason to moderate the other one?

Thanks for unmoderating the second hit of this pair (1, 2) with DonRedhorse,
but please do the same for another pair of hits (1, 2) for the same reasons:
different place and date of entry, different comments, just pure coincidence
to be in the same bundle.
Thanks in advance.
Rgds, Franz

Well...not looking info the forum for a few weeks and then finding my name in it... quite amazing feeling...
The discussion was two weeks ago but as you will understand, I'd like to point out a few things about this special hit:
The years 2006 and 2004 are correct. Congatulations.
...but where's the point in that for the latest discussion???
Most of the hits between zweitereihe and myself appear in a certain pub in downtown Braunschweig (except one of them). Sometimes we meet there, sometimes he is there without me, sometimes I visit the pub without him. If we meet there and have a hit... we let it be moderated. If we don't meet there (because only one of us was there) ... we don't let the hit be moderated because it is pretty obvious that someone else owned the note in between. The notes stayed at least two nights in the pub...or elsewhere... before the other one "cought" it. So: if that's not a hit, what is a hit?
That's the story. So what is interesting about this story for a note-tracker? Well, we know that a note, that circulated Milano before February, 14th (Zweitereihe entered his italian notes after he returned to Germany) was in northern Germany one week later and that at least one person owned the note after zweitreihe spent it and before I received it (in fact at least two persons, because my comment tells that I got the note from Anne, a friend of mine, and she didn't recieve it from zweitereihe either).
It is not my fault, that the note "just" travelled one week (I also would have prefered a 1000-days-journey) but to be able to track a note from Milano to Braunschweig (without a "handover" between two EBT'ers) is exacty what EBT was made for. The way to play the game is not a question of duration. My opinion.
I don't know if the note was discussed in the italian forum. Unfortunatly I don't speak Italian, although I would like to.

Could you please moderate the note at the bottom of this post? This time I announce it this way, not by mail, because I'm at this topic anyway

I have sympathy for all tries to keep our database clean, but I think throwing around with words like
Our hit wasn' a farce anyway, less than ever it was a pollution..of whatsoever. Words like that for issues like these always make me sad...
Best regards from Braunschweig to all Italian EBT'ers (hopefully you don't feel too much polluted by these two north German trackers
)

The discussion was two weeks ago but as you will understand, I'd like to point out a few things about this special hit:
Not quite correct: we have 35 hits with each other. 28 of them (including the one mentioned at the bottom of this post) are moderated. 18 were auto-moderated by the system, the other ones by request (including for example this one...just to help you understand that I'm not keen on hits with great distances or something like that.... In fact I'm not keen on any rankings at all... I just want to know where notes come from and where they go).presidente wrote:Zweitereihe is user from 2006, brunswiek is user from 2004 they live in same city (no little) they have 7 hits with one another...

What do you consider "normal"?presidente wrote:...the greatest are 8 days..and "incredible". Zweitereihe bring a note from Italy and brunswiek find it immediatly (only 6 days after!!!). If for you is normal ok, we close the discussion, but for me no.

So how is this game to play?? Zweitereihe went to Italy, he came back and spent his italian notes in Braunschweig. I went to the pub one tuesday night and received one of his notes WITHOUT (!) meeting him in the pub (in fact he hasn't been in the pub for at least two days).presidente wrote:I agree with you the fakers are other but this, for me, is not the right mode to play this game.

Thanks to Gauss for explaining that during my absenceGauss wrote:Zweitereihe and brunswiek are known to know each other and have frequently asked explicitly for moderation of "friendly hits" between them, usually by mail.
The designation of them as fakers, implying that their friendly hits were intentional, is inappropriate. I would appreciate a respective clarification also on the Italian forum.

I know that you didn'tpresidente wrote:I never wrote that this two users are fakers (read my precedent post)
I don't know anything about moderating-rules in different countries, but to me this hit is just an interesting hit (according to my words above). It's not a long-duration-hit, not at least a pity for zweitereihe and me, but it shows what EBT was made for.presidente wrote: I have only asserted that they know each other and you have confirmed this. Not existing yet the classification of not interesting hit, in my opinion this hit must be moderated, mine was only a suggestion. I remain of my opinion that we are not using the same rules to moderate hits in all countries.

I don't want to answer to all points, it's a very old discussion and sorry if I took your hits to explain my thought: we need to have the classification of hits non interesting: the hits done with a friend are, for me, always non interesting if done in few days. Spending this note in the pub you knowed already that the possibility to make an hit was more than spend the note in an other shop in your town.

I guess it is impossible to define a classification that fits all possibilities. Without wanting to start the discussion anew: I am not of your opinion that a hit between friends in a few days MUST automatically be uninteresting...presidente wrote:we need to have the classification of hits non interesting: the hits done with a friend are, for me, always non interesting if done in few days.

Here's how I see it, about this type of case... I think it would depend on whether the notes were exchanged directly. If the note was given to the friend by a third-party, it might be be interesting...brunswiek wrote:I guess it is impossible to define a classification that fits all possibilities.
