Question on forum languages. Several EU states have more than one Official language such as Finland (Finnish, Swedish), Ireland (Irish Gaelic, English), and Malta (English, Maltese). Because of this, will languages such as Irish Gaelic, Swedish, and Maltese be added to the forum in the future? Or will only "one" language be used on the forum for EU states that use the euro and have more than one official language?

I think the main argument for not having those forums is their relatively small size together with the fact that the people can also understand some other language there is a forum for.
For example there are a bit over 300000 Swedish speakers in Finland, of whom
I'd guess 250 000 can speak Finnish fluently. That leaves the amount of people absolutely /needing/ the Swedish forum so low, that it could never be alive, and if it was to be alive, it's users could be thought to be away from the Finnish forum, which would mean that the Finnish forum would lose a part of its activity potential without anyone gaining anything.
I figure its the same for Irish and Maltese. You won't find any Irish or Maltese-speaking EBTer who couldn't communicate in English.
Of course, language politically it might be very nice to the three languages to have forums of their own. I just don't quite think EBT will ever care of language politics that much. The important thing is to be as accessible and usable for the userbase, as possible, and not including the three minor languages whose speakers can all also speak a language already used on EBTF probably increases usability without actually decreasing accessibility at all.

After EBT.com and .eu is one website again, I'm sure -if wanted- you can become a translation member of EBT for a Maltese version of EBT, doctorwho.

Hello doctorwho! I've a doubt...Is maltese the most spoken language in Malta or is just a "minor" language, like (i.e.) Irish in Ireland or Basque in Euskadi (that exists in fact, but few people are able to "use" it)?
I've a real desire to visit Malta, not only for the turistic atractions (like beach and weather) but also for its all History background, linked in some areas to the portuguese History as well (I'm remembering the importance of the "Ordem da Cruz de Malta" not only in Middle Ages...)
Greetings from Portugal

Greetings from Portugal

It is the most spoken language (and not a minor language at all) but most Maltese can speak english too, which is our second official language after all!

Concerning Maltese, it has been answered above. I do not understand why Turkish is needed
urgently. The number of users is pretty small

I think the name of the website doesn't need to be translated, as we won't push the Maltese users to the url
www.traccitalkartitalewro.eu
... "tracking the cards of the euro" sounds interesting
