4 years ago avij started this thread about internet connection speed.
Things have changed a huge amount since then in the world of the internet though!
Let's see what kind of connections people have nowadays.

In work I have a 40MBps connection, and at home I have 6, which will be upgraded to 12 at the end of the month hopefully.

my home connection was upgraded to 16 Mbps (down) and 1 Mbps (up) 2 months ago

according to speedtest.net I have 15566 kpbs download and 954 kbps uplaod, so this seems ot be correct
