How did you get your referers?

Just wondering...

It seems to be very hard to get some referers... So i was wondering, how did you get yours?

PS: I have 3 referers, all of them used a link on a forum where i posted.

Just for curiosity, I posted a note to the classifieds section of Helsingin Sanomat, a local newspaper

That didn't work out that well though, I got only a few new EBTers that way.

I sent a mail to everyone I know ... it only got me one or two referers.
I posted at a couple of forums ... 3 members found the way
In guestbooks of various sites, about 10 new members
A link in the related sites section : the rest

total : 17 ... a bit disappointing, but not everybody registers immediately, and many probably just cut & paste the www.ebt.com part, and not your reference number

I did it like Skylimit. Only 1 new referer and I'll enter the top 10 of referers

. Actualy, getting referers is far more difficult than getting new notes.
I'm trying to find a new way to get more referers - I hope to be online within a month

I got most of my referers from a forum (forum.fok.nl) and some from my own little site (well i guess only my brother registered that way

)

I've got a total of 13 referers wit in total 137 notes entered (but sad enough non of them is active at this moment).

I just posted ebt link and some information about this site for any forums as I could find.. you all should do the same thing!

I put the link on a couple of forums I was visiting. The I used a search engine and put "keskustelupalsta" (discussion forum), and put a link to most fitting ones. But i think that you should think twice before putting a link to some forums (ie.If there is not "general discussion"), because I don't think that we would like to seem as spammers or anything negative.

I have refered 1 person, but not with my link, I told him about EBT, but he entered 12 notes...

He quit some monts ago with EBT.
Why would someone stop? It's not boring right?

Yes she is. She actually has more bills than I do

(not that I have many - 39 against her 61...), but she has an activity in which she moves lot of money around, while I'm just a broke college student

I put a link in the back of my e-mails. My referers never come on EBT...
