Check out the diffusion pie charts:
http://www.eurobilltracker.eu/index.php?command=4194304
They are more informative now.
And we can see
the pie charts of 2002 too. (By pushing a pie chart you get all previous pie charts.)
Great job avij!

That is great!
But maybe it would be poosible to see how many notes are entered in that country.
So there would be a number above the pie.
Maybe thisis also possible but I think it's more difficult than my forst opinion,
Now you see the % o all the notes, maybe it would be possible to have there also a number, so above the pie a number and in the left the % and the numbers of how many notes from that cpuntry are entered.
Does anyone know what I mean?

Hmm... Apparently there is no such thing as an R (Luxembourg) bill...
Good work, Avij. Tap yourself in the back

Hmm.. Sorry, I won't try to fit that much information into a single image, there's not enough screen real estate. It's already a bit messy when the numbers overlap. Besides, this is a
diffusion graph, showing the ratio of notes from each €-country and the pie is graph perfect for this need. There's one nice rule from user interface design: "show, don't tell", meaning that it's better to have a graph that shows the data, instead of having a listing of that data. Perhaps those numbers could be shown somewhere else, but not on the diffusion page where exact numbers are rather irrelevant.

OK,
but isn't possible to put the number of notes above the month like:
10.000 notes entered.

So why use the numbers next of the circles?? it is not that clear and all the info can be found in the small box on the right.

i don't think that they are irrelevant!
If only, for instance 100 notes are inserted, the table would not be very accurate. But when 100000 notes are inserted it would be really interesting!! So i think it is very important to shown on how much notes the tables are based on!
[for my own satisfaction]i'm very curious how much the total ammount of notes in holland is risen during the last one and a half year.[/for my own satisfaction]

First of all - thank you for this improvement of the pie charts.

I see your point, avij, but I must disagree. True, it is nonsense to overload the picture. But these graphs claim to be statistically meaningful. All serious statistics have to display their sample size, i.e., here the number of notes that were used to create the respective pie chart.
The reason for this fundamental rule is of course that a very small sample size can be used to prove pretty much everything. Usually the reason for not publishing the sample size is that it is far too small to allow any serious conclusion based on mathematical statistics (and not on simple guessing). To make the given data useful for any scientific purpose (which appears to be a further motivation for running this site, apart from fun) it is essential to have this data.
Apart from that, it's simple curiosity.

I guess we've got a little misunderstanding here..
You see, adding the sample size wouldn't really clutter the picture at all. Only the sample size of the _whole_ country would be needed. This does NOT mean sample sizes of each country code per country.
This is what we need:
Undersand the point now? Just add a little line that tells how many notes were entered from that country in that month. You see, It's not very interesting if there's been three notes entered in Finland and 67% of them are Portuguese. But it is interesting, if there are 10000 notes entered in Finland and still 67% are Portuguese. Ok?
Just add that little line to the top of the image and everything is fine. Statistics should _always_ contain the sample size, you know.. Otherwise they're useless and therefore kinda uninteresting.
