About the trip to Bratislava: Which means of transportation are we going to use (bus, train?) and where's the trip's starting point in Vienna? (just asking since I haven't booked my hotel yet, so there's still time to find one, if only I knew where to head.)

We will use the train, departing from Wien Südbahnhof (Wiedner Gürtel 1, 1100 Wien). I think the train is leaving about 09:30, so we will start to meet at around 08:30...

I have a question.

I will arrive on wednesday in Vienna in the morning and I will leave on monday evening. I was thinking of buying myself a metroticket such as weeklypass combined single ticket on monday.

Can I use those tickets as well to get from the airport to the hotel and back or do I need special tickets for that?

No, you need a special ticket for the train between the airport and Wien-Mitte : it's called the CAT, and it costs 16€ for an adult for a return ticket.

Then you buy a weeklypass or a dau-pass or a three days pass...

You may also take the S Bahn from the airport; a lot cheaper than the tourist trap called CAT, and it only takes moderately longer.

Or you can simply walk to the city center... It sooooooooooooo much cheaper.
