Hello Everyone,

At the last 2 meetings of the board of directors we came up with the idea of a special meeting for our 10th anniversary.
At this moment this is just an idea and we would like to know what everyone thinks about it.

The main idea is to replace this meeting for the Winter meeting in 2012. So in this case there will be no Wintermeeting
in 2012, but a large event to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We have made some ideas about this, one suggestion was
to organize this event during new years eve.

Some suggestions about the locations:

:flag-fr: Paris (This is the birthplace of EBT)
:flag-it: Rome (Because of the treaty of Rome)
:flag-nl: Maastricht (The birthplace of the Euro)
:flag-de:Frankfurt (The ECB is located here)

All these locations have a relation with the Euro or EBT. Of course other locations can also be suggested.
This will also depend on the available organisation teams.

Please let us know what you think about this. We would like to filter out the candidates somewhere in the summer, so
that the organizing team has plenty of time to arrange everything.

I think my choice would be Paris or Maastricht....

Maastricht is quite a lot smaller then the others, but has good opportunities to go to other countries (belgium, germany, and even luxembourg are in reach) Although you can pretty much see the complete city within a day or 2.

Maastricht and Frankfurt are the better options! 8) I think these are places were it will be more unlikely that another meeting would be held in, if it's not a special meeting like this, while Paris and Rome are able to host a meeting whenever they want to!

Maastricht would be nice because the program could include a one day trip between Netherland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, and it would be very funny and "European"!

Frankfurt would be the most interesting for us, because it could be possible to visit ECB headquarters!

I prefer these options for such a special meeting, even though there will be for sure more to see in places like Paris or Rome...

I so want to be part of one of those police raids that go into drugs houses and confiscate 100.000's of €€€€.

I would prefer Paris, just because Maastricht is so close to me.
