I plan a trip to Tallin in a short notice : can somebody tell me if banks in Tallin (or estonian banks in general) accept to change bills (for example 200 for 100 ) ?

Hi, I changed this Summer 1000€ of small nominals to bigger without problems at Nordea Bank. From big to smaller, they could ask for some fees (0.25%) but with good arguments you should not pay anything.

Since I am planning to travel a bit more to and in Estonia this summer. Is there any ATMs that let you choose the amount of denominations you want (eg Unicredit does this aboard). I know Swedbanks let you withdraw 10x at once but since Estonia has so much competition with ATMs (compared to Finland, our magic walls are boring) I'd rather have some information beforehand instead of testing every machine.

Most of the swedbank atms when you choose 40eu small notes you will get 8x 5 euro.

we are having a very relaxing few days in your amazing country!
obviously also entering as many notes as possible
something we couldn't figure out: we are in Haabneeme, but various shops and places are called Viimsi,
for example: Tallinn Viimsi SPA, Cafe Lyon Viimsi etc, even though they aren't located in Viimsi itself!
why is that?

At least earlier it was not possible choosing the notes yourself, so I doubt it is possible now, either. The 5€ notes aren't there for Eurobilltrackers, but for the normal Estonians who want to be able to withdraw also smaller amounts of money. After all, the largest note Estonia had before joining the Euro was worth 500 EEK, which is about 33€. And you didn't see that one very often. Already 100 EEK (6,67€) felt like quite a big note and could sometimes get you complaints about using an oversized note.

I actually wanted to ask an estonian about that, why were Estonian Kroon bills so low? I mean in Spain our biggest was 10,000 ESP which means €60,10 althought in present value that would make around €90 or €100... I still consider that not that big, that's why I was a bit surprised by the low value of EEK.
