Time has come for me to quit tracking...
...but other users have to right to know why I came to this decision.
Two days ago on Saturday I saw this German user with name Tieger3033 again entering vast amounts of notes with dubious printer codes (German 5 and 20 X-notes all with printer code R) although I opened a thread in the forum to check him because this was the third time I saw him doing.
The reaction: No reaction.
Then I sent an e-mail to avij who has access to database AFAIK asking him to check Tieger's entries.
Avij's reaction: I will let decide Philippe what to do because he knows more about printer codes.
And then on Saturday Tieger3033 made dozens of this suspicious entries again.
How much e-mails must I send before something's gonna happen?
While there are endless discussions whether a hit between two users is genuine or forced there are neither investigations nor countermeasures by those who could do if someone reports about a suspicious user or his entries.
A second example: This user with no name _/-^-\_ (or something like that) was also active on Saturday although I remember there was a thread in the forum by bhoeyb asking the webmaster to block his account. I consider this behaviour as knock in the face of me and of all other honest users.
But now my patience has run out. I will quit tracking. What a pity!

Please don't
I was really distressed to read your post.
I am a relatively new user (March 2003) and not a very fast one (some 530 notes, 26th in Portugal), so I am not yet in the position to criticize that hard, I think. Plus, I understand (and I'm sure you do way better than me, too) that the ebt masters have a lot of work to do here and don't get paid.
But I've had some unanswered posts too, and important ones, I think. EBT's growth has been exponential and I really hope this less than perfect management will improve once they find a way to correct it.
Please don't go. You're number 9, damn it, don't break the hearts of hundreds of people like me who "envy" you.
avij just told ThomasB on some other post:
And please forgive me for sounding so patronizing. It's not that, it's just a broken heart. There are some ways how the interesting hit list could be kept relatively tidy with the help of software alone, but discussion about those methods doesn't belong here in the public forums. You'll see ..

Yes, this is really not nice to read.
I also hope that something can be done.
But i wouldn't quit for this reason. I'm doing this for myself, offcourse i find it a bad thing to see users cheating. But as long as most users are honest i find it a pleasant thing to do on the net (and in real live).
I'm sorry to see you leaving! :'(

I'm sorry to see you leaving either, but I understand your feelings. For me as well it's hard to believe that a user like __/-^-\__ is still in the lists, and that is not the only example. If this situation will remain and nothing will happen, then I think that my joy in being a part of the EBT-membergroup will fade away as well and I don't promise that I'll stay here for long, in that case.
But for now I still trust Avij and the others who are working on the improvements that there will be a good solution for those problems in time and if necessary I'm willing to take my part of that improvements and the growing of EBT if I can...
Uch.

Hi Nordstern!
All what's to say, the other tracker even have said in this topic, but I want to follow those opinions and I please you, not to go.
The moderators make their job very well, I think. It should claim al lot of time to moderate a big site und a big forum like this and I'm sure, your mails won't be ignored, if you stay patient... .
By the way, I'm from Hamburg, too! A few days ago, I got my first hit after inserting over 2000 bills, it was a very beautiful thing for me ...
All users from Hamburg are especially important for me, because those people are predestined to produce hits for me
Or I shall produce hits for YOU ...
So stay please...

It's the same for me: Please don't go Nordstern you are one of our big users. I see you have four hits. You know what kind of hits they are. What is more beautiful than a real hit? I hate these fake users also but I am staying here because I would like to have lots of hits. And I know they all are real. I think you can better focus on your hits than on the fake users otherwise it is not funny anymore.
Ah, look at all the lonely Euronotes. Where do they all come from? (The Beatles, Eleanor Rigby)

But nowadays there are so many fakers and fake hits that you simply can'tquerty wrote:It's the same for me: Please don't go Nordstern you are one of our big users. I see you have four hits. ignore them. Something should be done about it!
least be banned!!
But there also is some sort of competition to enter as many bills as you
can. I have fought very hard to get position 6 in the Dutch list and position
40 in the international list, but now _/^-^\_ is about to overtake me by
cheating
Perhaps you don't have such a feeling for competition, querty, because
you are only on position 113 in the Belgian list with 348 bills, but if you get
up more and more, you are more willing to defend your position, and if a
cheater takes that position, then it sucks even more than a liposuction
machine!!!
If _/^-^\_ overtakes me, I will go on strike!!!
