No notes printed for Luxembourg and Estonia?

Hi everyone;

I just realised recently that there is no code for notes printed for either Estonia or Luxembourg - like Germany X, Ireland T, Netherlands P etc.

Anyone know why that is?

The letter "D" has been assigned to Estonia but as a new entrant no notes have as yet been printed.
The letter "R" has been reserved for Luxembourg but, to date, no notes have been printed.

Luxemburg's constitution seems to demand that money recognisable as Luxemburgian money must carry a portrait of the Head of State. (= the grandduke) So unless (1) Luxemburg changes its constitution or (2) they can print the grandduke on their notes there will be no :flag-lu: R-notes.

Money printed for Luxemburg carrys the letter of the country where it is printed, mostly France or Germany.

I would imagine that Euro banknotes would not qualify as "recognisable as Luxembourgian money" for the simple reason that only central bankers and nerds like us would recognise and R-serial note as coming from Luxembourg.

Apparently they don't agree with you in Luxemburg. Don't like it, I would like to see those R-notes just as well. (just as most of us, I suppose...)
