How fast is your internet?
How fast is your internet?
Here is a poll to know how fast your internet is. I have 2.5Mbit Cable from Chello. It works perfectly for me for just under €50 per month.
What is your max speed and how much does it cost (if you want to tell)?

I have 10Mpbs/128Kbps Cable at home,
and 10Mbps/512Kbps Cable at my room at the university.
Fast enough, only my upload at home is a little slow...
But then there are those damn download and upload limits...
At home I can upload 1.5GB per month, and transfer (download+upload) 10GB per month. When I down- or upload at night (between 00h and 10h) every byte is counted as 0.5 byte.
At the university I have a limit of 200MB download per day, and 100MB upload per day. But again, at night (between 2h and 10h) every byte is counted as only 0.21875 bytes. Between 18h and 00h every byte is counted as 1.5 bytes and during the other hours it's counted as 0.875 bytes. Which means I just have to shedule all my downloads with a download managaer between 2h and 10h!

I didn't know there was already a topic about it. For that I'm sorry.avij wrote:See also http://forum.eurobilltracker.eu/viewtopic.php?t=3098
But I think it is fun to see the difference between the old topic and this one. I think many people got faster internet since than.

In Spain, Telefonica still has the monopoly. I have a DSL, but because we are far from the connection point it doesn´t reach more than 215 kbps for 45 euro´s a month.
Formerly I had Terra, which was much slower on the same lines and distance and I reached 128 kbps or sometimes 22 kbps.
What the reason of that was I never heard, but I think maybe their server. Th costs were the same 45 euros.
