from 1st November, so in few days time the European Central Bank will have a new President thus the President's signature on the current banknotes will have to change
any news about this?

And it might also take a while before we see "his" notes in our wallets.
The orders to print notes already placed by the central banks will be (I think) all with "Trichet".
If it's so indeed, Draghi's signature will be used with the new orders (so I think at the end of 2012).

I have to leave now, so I can't investigate all links in it, but when it was announced, Trichet was the next ECB-president, this topic was opened.

First ones spotted here seem to be from July 2004, ie 8 months after he became president. Look for the text "original post" here.

I haven't seen them yet. But I can't wait.

Most likely NIG won't recognise them. They will be counted as Duisenberg-notes, I think.

I, for one, am not expecting them before summer.

Mario Draghi is the President of ECB from November 2011, and I think the 2011 notes production was still printed for that date, so the 2011 notes have Trichet's signature.
We'll found the Draghi's signature on the 2012 notes (I think in summer-autumn).

Yes, but journalists are not technicians. I think new Draghi's notes will put into circulation gradually, when the Trichet's ones will be less numerous.

Or just when they need the newly printed notes. I think that there is still a big stock of newly printed notes that will be put into circulation first.
